Trying to move to PPS, any thoughts suggestions appreciated...

So at this point I am a somewhat profitable affiliate, the issue I have though is the constant overturn of PPL offers that feels like Im on a hamster wheel.

For example I'll test offers for a few days, then I'll find a decent offer. Then for the next couple of weeks I'll break even/slight loss to run leads for a paybump.

Then once I get a paybump and start being in the green, the offer may last anywhere from 2-6 weeks. And then you get the boot, a pay cut, or the offer dies etc.

Now some last longer, but rarely past 2-3 months. It just seems counterproductive.

Also something I'm concerned about is that there doesn't seem to be that many "good" offers. I would say 90% out there are shit (doesn't convert, payout too low etc), and I don't want to spend forever hunting down new offers that won't even last long.

So I'd like to start getting on some PPS and hopefully just focus my efforts on scaling 1 or 2 offers, but I'm having trouble finding a good PPS offer.

Same with CC Authorizations, I haven't really found a good one.

Any suggestions or input on what you would do in this situation?

I feel like I'm kind of stuck lol.

PPS never worked better than PPL for me in the long run, so I stick to PPL, but yes it's sometimes annoying to keep on looking for offers that would be stable.

But anyways, I've found that offers from dedicated dating companies tend to last for longer. Large part of the offers you find in standard affiliate networks are bad, as you said. Many of them are shortlived, poorly setup... so for more stability, try to work with established brands that focus mostly on dating. Here are a few from the top of my head: dateprofits, vipoffers, vpscash(rebll has them), datinggold, trafficmansion, trafficpartner, hugetraffic, datingfactory, thedatingnetwork... there are quite a few and most also do offer PPS or Revshare options.

So if you wanna focus on PPS, register with these companies and check what they have on offer. Each of them has been around for a while, some for 20+ years

Thanks for the response Matuloo

Don't get me wrong, I would love to continue to promote PPL, but it just seems like these offers are so unstable.

I feel like I finally get my funnel going and then I'll ride some profits for a few weeks and then get the boot.

It's not like Im running on trash spots too, even places like TJ and TF are causing a lot of lead quality problems for me.

I also tend to run more conservative funnels (older women, no "free registration" etc) so it's been surprising.

Thats why I kind of wanted to move to PPS.

Oh by the way have you ever had any luck with dating offers that are CC Authorization? I feel like I do the worst with those but I hear some people make it work lol

Yes I know what you mean, I don't like this part of the biz either, but it's always been like that. It seems to be a closed circle... some advertisers want the volume no matter what so they offer high payouts, affiliates start running them and drive the bids up since it works well, then the offer get's pulled and affiliates kicked, but the bids stay high because there is another one available with higher payouts... and over and over and over again

I'm not sure what you mean with CC authorization Do you mean those that ask for the CC info in order to "verify age"?

I did the best with straight trials (3-day trial then converting to full) or direct monthly billing for PPS.

Yes I am referring to those offers that require a credit card to do the 18+ age verification.

When you say "dedicated dating companies" are you referring to direct advertisers? Im assuming so because DateProfits, VIPoffers, DatingGold etc. are direct advertisers.

I do notice that there is good longevity in these offers, they just don't convert "hot". I mean its not bad, but its not great either lol.

I guess maybe I'll try to revisit some of these direct advertisers and see if I can make something work.

Thanks again for the advice

Yup, direct advertisers, dating site operators, dating companies ... whatever we want to call them

True again, these long-time players are not pushing on the edge that much, which results in a bit lower return on the ad spend initially, but with revshare for example, it could result in longer rebill times. It's also partially caused by the fact that these long lasting sites already have a lot of the emails in their DB, so they won't pay for the same addy again.

The more aggressive offers can convert better, but then again, they are more sensitive on the quality and do not last.

It'a all about finding balance, really. PPS or revshare is a different game, one that you need a stable partner for, that's why I suggested these guys
