Offer links - how to check it?
Hi guys,
Would appreciate some tips to understand how offer links works and how to check if offer page is correct. I have VPN but unfortunately it doesnt help in a lot of cases.
What i noticed i cannot access offer page via offer link from my aff. network (e.g.Mobidea). It just loads other pages with other offers. While the offer is both despokt / mobile so its not a case.
For another links e.g.: Offer not available. Reason: proxy traffic.
I would appreciate advice how you handle that, or maybe that is the reason to reject some offers on early stage?
Thanks!

Quite some advertisers and networks add GEO rules to offers, which means you cannot preview the offer from a GEO that's not the target country. More and more advertisers are also blocking IPs from known VPN and proxy services to prevent fraud, but makes previewing harder. You can always ask your affiliate manager at a network or the direct advertiser for a preview link or screenshot from the offer.

Yup, as Advidi posted above, it's very common for the advertisers or aff.network to filter out VPN and out-of-geo traffic... some VPNs work, some don't. You can try an agent spoofer and device emulator plugin and use an IP of some puublic proxy or mobile carrier... there are DBs of these available online, just search for something like "orange Indian IP ranges"... that helps in some cases too.
But you won't be able to reach the actual offer url in 100% of cases, some have the filtering too tight.
Asking for the offer screenshot is one way of handling this, or simply send a small sample of traffic to the offer to see whether it converts with your traffic or not... that's what I'm doing very often when I can't get to the offer url.

The question is, why do you need to see the offer... is that because you want to match the funnel with the final offer or you're just curious? It's not mandatory to stay super consistent from the ad and LP to the offer, it can perform anyways.

Ad network blocked my campaign because of inaccessibility of the offer LP's until i will show final offer page or screens.

Ah ok, so they likely got blocked too and couldnt verify the target url. This happens too.
Then you have to options... ask the network to provide the screens or use a different offer.

Are you direct linking? If so, stick a lander in between The source and offer and see what the traffic source says. Normally, they don’t care about the offer itself, unless that’s what you’re directly linking to.

I wondered about this too with Mobidea. I can live with seeing a screenshot but I do like to see the offer page when I can just to see that I'm sending traffic to.

Really, there is no need to check all pages from the offers you want to run.
You can do it when you only test 1 or 2 offers per day.
But when you test many different offers each day it would take too much time to check every offer page.
Especially when you can't see them right away because of restrictions and redirects or so.
It's a just important to know what the offer is about so that we can use the the right landers.

I see that i need to do sth wrong as my LP’s for two offers are in preparation since 3/4 days now.
There is no way to test number of offers you said this way.
So perhaps I should have 3-4 landers for one angle and test them with a big number of offers with similar subject. That’s correct?
But isn’t that making those landers too much detached from the offer than?

No, the landers don't have to match each and every offer exactly.
You want to promote iPhone sweeps? - Use sweeps landers for iPhones
You want to promote Amazon gift card sweeps? - Use sweeps offers for Amazon gift cards
You want to promote dating offers? - Use dating landers
You want to promote casino offers? - Use casino landers
And so on and so forth
You would go insane when you want to check every offer and then customize landers for it

Yup, as twinaxe mentioned above, just stay within the vertical and test many offers. That's way better use of your time than trying to match every LP with every offer, that's not even doable.

I'm a rookie. It ain't about checking every page. It's more about not sending traffic to a shady offer page.

Valid concern for sure. Some offers can even get you banned at various traffic sources or at least cause frequent campaign rejections. So I hear ya, it's good to know what we are promoting of course.
The best thing to do is to work with reliable networks and stay within the more legit verticals. Let's say Sweeps, for example, which is mostly a simple lottery where some people might actually win a prize and the terms are there, if anyone want's to read them. On the other hand there are crypto or binary offers, that are mostly total scams where the users are tricked to deposit $$$ and the platform will "play against them" to make them lose all the investment.
It's hard to check every single offer that we run so we gotta rely on the affiliate networks too and their screening process, hoping that they do their job right and won't approve any illegal or totally shady offer.
