Is it a good idea to launch offers with LPs on push traffic or should be directly linked?
Because in my opinion the notification itself kind of acts as a lander so increases one more barrier would increase the conversion? Sorry the the question is too noob.
In most cases landers bring better results.
The notifications itself don´t really act as a lander, they are rather only there to give a short info what it is about and to get the user curious or interested enough to click through.
The landing pages however are there to warm the user more up towards the offer and they also give you much more control over your campaign/the funnel.
Landers can also help to prepare different users with different interests for the same offer when you use different angles.
On the landers you can also tell the users the next steps already that are needed for the conversion so that he knows what to do on the offer page.
There are still offers that work with direct linking but often hey have an own prelander then.
Better invest the little additional work in your campaigns, it´s mostly worth it.
The push ADs are just ... ADs, just like a banner AD or any other form that affiliates or online marketers are using.
Just as twinaxe posted above, the ad is there to grab the interest of the surfer and maybe pre-filter the audience to some extent, but the sales process takes place on the LP or the offer lander itself.
Based on my personal experience, it's almost 100% necessary to use a landing page in order to make profit. Some offers come with built-in prelanders, so those CAN work directlinked, but from the most part, you need to use LPs.
A proper LP will almost certainly increase the CVR rate, so you will get better returns by using them... so unless you can get traffic at an extremely cheap rate, I'd vote for using LPs in every campaign you run.
On the other hand, bad LP can make conversions even worse, so you need to make sure you're using good ones, which will take some (often a lot) testing.
And there are more benefits to using your own LPs... you can collect leads for yourself, you can use additional tricks such as the backbutton redirect or popunder, you can split test several LPs at once, you can use scripts to catch bots on the LPs etc...
