Journey to $100 a day (8)

Journey to $100 a day

Geo: USA
Payout: $2.35-$2.5
Traffic type: Pop ( I am also thinking of testing on Push traffic)
Traffic Sources: Zeropark, PropellerAds, Popads
Affiliate networks: Clickbooth, Yepads
Tracking tool: Voluum
Spying tool: Adplexity
Cloud Storage: AWS
Initial testing budget for each traffic network: $200
Landing Pages: 4-8 total
Landing Page Angles: Wheel of fortune, quiz
Next Plan: I am going to hire someone to clean up the landing pages so they can run faster. I also need to find out why the viewers location, mobile type, and browser scripts are not shown on the landing pages. In the past, I did similar landing pages 2 years ago and didn't have any problems. I have a feeling that AWS changed their system so it is more difficult now to show mobile type/browser type/location scripts.

May I suggest some tips? I'm not really qualified for that but still..

You should target some other geo except US and mainly focus on just 1 traffic network at a time (if you are starting out). Coz when all these data comes in it might be a bit overwhelming. Once you manage to make 1 traffic network profitable then you can scale to others. And finally I think you should cut down the number of landers. Like 2-3 really good performing landers (According to Adplexity). And then take the winning one from those 3 and compete it towards each other.

Great, keep us updated.

But why do you want to start with US?

Are you new to affiliate marketing or are you experienced already?

When you start with US, the most competitive geo of all, it´s basically the same as being a boxing amateur and having your first fight with Mike Tyson.

I also need to find out why the viewers location, mobile type, and browser scripts are not shown on the landing pages. I don´t use AWS myself so can´t tell anything about it directly but would be good when you could post an example source code from of the affected landers so that we can check it.

Important is that you have such a script on your lander

Code:
<script>
function getURLParameter(name) {
return decodeURI(
(RegExp(name + '=' + '(.+?)(&|$)').exec(location.search)||[,null])[1] || ''
);
}
</script>

I did pop campaigns a couple of years ago and I made a tiny amount of money from the US. Actually, I lost way more money when I tried to promote sweep offers in the 2nd and 3rd tier countries. Comparing to the US, the number of bots were way higher in those 2nd and 3rd tier geos. It might be because of the traffic sources that I was using before. Btw, I usually test 2 landing pages initially but I am always prepared to have 4-8 landing pages ready on the sides.

Thank you for the script and I will compare it with what I have. Which cloud storage service, CDN, and domain registrar are you using now?

My setup is

- Dedicated server at Hetzner
- Namecheap as domain registrar
- Cloudflare as CDN and DNS for landing page domains
- DNS Made Easy for tracking domains
- Digital Ocean for additional LP servers

Thanks. I will check Hetzner.
