Guys, is there a way to 'spy' on what ads are being displayed on Facebook, let's say if I want to test a 35 year old woman in Spain - would it be as simple as creating a fake profile and filling it with information? Or are the ads served by IP, and therefore I would continue receiving US, english ads?
Yeah you would need a Spainish IP. I use http://strongvpn.com/ for my VPN needs.
Taken directly from facebook help center :
"Facebook determines the location of a user based on IP (Internet Protocol) addresses, which can help identify the country or city where a user is physically located. If a user has listed a current address on their profile, they may see ads targeted to that location, regardless of where they are currently located. Ads are not targeted to a user's geographic networks or any other information."
Is this the only option other than using a spy tool? I've sent several pm's to fellow forum members asking this question after my forum post in the off topic section. I would like to spy on some ads all over the US. Me living in the midwest. Will this effect what I see if I was to create an account in California, Maine, Florida etc..? What is the ideal way to spy in multiple geographic areas including international?
