Trafficjunky weird

I have some burning qns for trafficjunky, hope you dont mind

I noticed tj does not have a chart of recommended bids for the different geos and spots. Also it does not show which position you are at. May i know what is the best way to approach this issue?

Ok but there are some auto bids at the end of the campaign creation. Are they accurate? Or are they too high in general?

The volumes at the end, it that accurate too? As sometime i get more volume then the value there, although it say i might get less. All these are from the “new”tj update recently,,, may be old now . Where have the geo opportunities go to

There are ph, rt, yp. Which site and spot is the good one to start testing ? on mob and desk. Say if i wanted to start on any geo, or are they diff on each geo

Also was wondering why yp and rt, etc... is more expensive than ph?

Regarding bidding for cpm in general, say i see an offer payout is $2. What cpm is the max that i can go?

For Ctr on banners what is the benchmark i should be looking at? Say for ntv-desk mob-header, and other spots that might be .

For mob-header ctr im usually at 0.1-0.3. Not sure if good or bad. Say for eg its 0.2. And most of the prices are expensive at 0.1 cpm or even higher. If offer was $2,my funnel has to convert 3% to be profitable and roi is little. what CV should the funnel convert at say for a mob-header / ntv clicks (not inplayer)?

Understand that some lower payout might convert better, but what should be cpm limit to say that even an offer is worth running? Like i mean if optimizations will still make sense

In short there are cpm, ctr(banner), and ctr (landing) and cr (offer). And i hope to learn more abt making the right calculations so that a campaign has a higher chance to be profitable.

Thanks

I don't think you should start with Traffic Junky since the bid prices are really high. Since you have an offer payout of $2, if you are spending around $0.2 for 1 click you're gonna get only 10 clicks for $2. Now let us consider the scenario that you are breaking even. For that you should get 1 conversion per 10 clicks. I think that's really hard to achieve even with a really good funnel. So your offer has 3% conversion rate right? I assume that means you get 3 conversion per 100 clicks. That's $6. So I think you should look for traffic sources that provide more than 100 clicks under $6.

And please don't take me seriously, the things I said might be stupid coz I'm a newbie and I think you should get a proper responce from someone like Matuloo to really consider that you've got an answer.

And as of these things :

I noticed tj does not have a chart of recommended bids for the different geos and spots. Also it does not show which position you are at. May i know what is the best way to approach this issue?

I was also curious about these things, so I hope someone will answer them here.

Thanks chandler, Regarding the values, 0.2 was the CTR of the banner so if a $0.1cpm (TJ has only CPM), it would translate to a $0.05 CPC which means that on a $2 offer, every 40 visitors has to convert once to breakeven. i mentioned 3% for the funnel (lander+offer). At 40 visitors, the CV was at 2.5%(1/40). So if even at 3% CV, there will be a small profit only. Do you think thats achievable? may i know which traffic source do you recommend that i start?

Hey dude. I'm also working with TJ and have the same questions about their auction and bids. It looks impossible to know your possition in there.
As far as I know approximate result, they're showing in the end of creating, is not accurate at all, some of my campaings have got 2kk+ impressions per day, but their estimator shows 0-100k...
I would reccomend you to start with PH, everybody litteraly knows it, but some geos have quite bad quallity.

About CPM and CTR. Everything depends on your funnel. One campaign can have low CTR, but CR is incredible and vice versa. Only tests will show real situation.

I also can tell you my profitable numbers (average), ofc there can be exclusions. Banner CTR >0.18%, LP CTR >20%, CR >3%.

But keep in mind that I've been working with adult dating only for 4 months and won't call myself an expert, just sharing experience

Thanks for sharing from your figures, yes i also found it quite impossible unless you check it manually on the site, but still its not very accurate. do you have issues with getting volume on TJ? Say you are getting 200k impressions as you mentioned, after it goes through your funnel, it will only result in 2 conversions.

Oh, i didn't explaine clearly. CR I mentioned is "Banner - lead", not "lander-lead".
