Today we’d like to share our observations on the iGaming market during the worldwide lockdown.
One of our key advertisers reports that since the introduction of quarantine measures in Europe and around the world, its audience almost doubled. The reason is, the players are staying in home isolation, almost all offline entertainment is out of the question, which frees up a lot of time for online gambling.
This is confirmed by many online gambling providers. “When the NBA shut down, we really saw a sharp increase since that date,” said a FOX Bet representative. “We're seeing a very strong shift to poker and online casino.” Resorts Casino has also seen a “noticeable” increase in online gambling in recent days, according to its president.
Another reason for the growth of the online segment is that offline casinos have been stopped working due to quarantine across the board. 94% of US casinos, including Las Vegas, are closed. The same with Macao, the Asian gambling heaven. 194 000 pokies in Australia have been shut down, meaning that pokie regulars (about 15 to 25 percent of the country’s population) are out of luck.
Yet avid gamblers find it hard to give up the roulette and the card games. Many of them start migrating online.
The market has seen such strong growth, that many countries, like Spain, have been getting wary of Internet users becoming too keen on online casinos. Spain’s online gambling operators have already been told to restrict their marketing efforts. The government was reportedly pushed to act after receiving reports that the number of gamblers had increased since the lockdown was imposed.
As for marketing approaches you can take, besides using the old and tried methods, you can emphasize the current situation in the world and invite players to take their minds off it with an engrossing game of slots. Some advertisers have specifically launched new coronavirus-themed landing pages. By the way, many other verticals prohibit mentioning the coronavirus.

Great to see that you have an official network thread now as well
Was already excited to meet Maria in Moscow again but seems I have to wait for it a bit longer now
Today we are talking publicly about a very important service from Alfaleads. Until recently, it was only known to our trusted partners. Now it is available to everyone.
We proudly present you Alfa Defense, a project that employs professionals to defend the interests of affiliates and webmasters.
Here's how the Alfa Defense team could help you:
— unblock your bank account,
— create your company,
— outsource your accounting and legal operations.
All activities are carried out strictly within the law, that is, we won't ask you for your account access info or similar sensitive information. Find out more and contact us — Alfadefense.com. Join us at Telegram chat.
Today we’d like to share our experience working with a source that’s got many people interested, TikTok.
There’s very little information available on the source, so we’d like to fill that void. Let our in-house media buying team tell you about launching an ad campaign focused on iGaming.
What do we know about TikTok as a traffic source? Moderation is slow, making content is a hassle, and the available GEOs are quite limited. On the other hand, there’s less bidding, an active engaged audience, and cheaper traffic compared to Facebook and contextual advertising.
Campaign Moderation
The accounts basically never get banned. They can only be blocked if you get flagged by users, but it’s unclear, how many strikes you get before being blocked. If you do get banned, you can contact tech support and ask for a review.
Some More Specifics
The apps pass moderation easily, but the promotional content could get tricky. To put it short, the solution is resubmitting your ads and cloning you ad sets.
It seems there’s no automated moderation yet. We’ve heard that it may get introduced soon, but for now it’s all done manually. There’s a bright side to this: you can upload edgier content during the weekend. The downside is that it takes from 30 minutes up to 48 hours to pass moderation, both for content and placements.
Another TikTok-specific feature is repeat moderation. We’ve seen it ourselves. After around 1000 views, you content gets checked by another mod. So be ready: while your campaign runs, the mods will be keeping an eye on you. There’s an upside to this as well: some content that hadn’t passed moderation could suddenly become active again and start driving traffic. You have to keep it in mind when scaling your campaign.
The Audience: Who Are We Working With?
Unfortunately, we don’t have detailed user stats. The platform doesn’t tell you the exact numbers, only estimated audience: broad, fairly broad, balanced, narrow, and too narrow.
The end of 2019 saw the first estimated audience data, which is quite impressive:
Global stats look interesting as well:
Thousands of affiliates open accounts in our system every month. Due to high flow we decided to close the registration of new affiliates at Alfaleads.
This decision leads to many changes for our partners:
The Russian office of Alfaleads has prepared a comprehensive guide to iGaming. In the guide, we’ve gathered practical experience with this vertical.
iGaming is an interesting and challenging vertical. In our guide, we tried to cover all the topics that concern affiliates who work in this niche. The main focus of the video is work with Facebook and Google, as well as analysis of technical difficulties.
The video will show you how to work with:
Hello STMers! We have launched the live stream with well-known to all of you Mary Minkevich and want to post a text version of it !
— Hello everyone! I'm Polina, PR-manager of Alfaleads, and we are launching a series of streams featuring our affiliate managers. We have divided our CPA Department into several units, and our speaker today is the manager of the Dating Team – Mary Minkevich. She will share her knowledge of the dating vertical.
Hi everyone! My name is Mary, maybe we have met already. And if we haven't, we'll get acquainted pretty soon because our team is building up steam for the dating vertical. I will be truly happy if you contact me with any questions related to dating.
— How did you become an affiliate manager in dating?
I made my first attempts to get into the affiliate industry and work with SEO and context advertising back in 2013–2014. Do you remember the SEO of those days? You could just write your copy, insert the correct keywords – and you have your websites at the top just like that.
Later I dedicated myself to studying and entered the real affiliate world two years ago. At the time I was working for a mobile marketing company. The company was mostly into the white hat marketing. Although, even then there were attempts to tackle specific sectors, for example, casinos.
It was then when I realized that all this is very interesting. After all, this sector is kind of mysterious, and working with it seems risky. I wanted to find out how it all works, how people promote the ads, and how they make money? When my curiosity was at its highest, I got into Alfaleads, and that was the start of my exciting journey here. I have been working with iGaming, sport, sweepstakes, dating.
A month ago, the CPA Department got split into separate units. And now I belong to the dating unit and work exclusively with this vertical.
— Here goes the most relevant question. Quarantine is basically a financial crisis, whatever else it may be. How is the dating vertical doing at such a time? What was the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the vertical if there was any? After all, people still want to date and carry on.
I can't really say that we were impacted by the crisis. There was no decline in finance. This is due to the fact that people were locked up with nothing to do. They yearned for communication and entertainment. And dating met the need.
The only thing was that advertisers have complained about the drop in traffic quality. In other words, the users spent less money and favored free activities. However, there was no change in terms of traffic volume.
— What was in demand during the crisis and the lockdown? And what is hot right now?
Webcam sector was in great demand during the lockdown. That is why we are now providing more exclusive webcam offers. Contact us if you want in – we will furnish you with offer links, conversion caps, and high payout rates. It will be great! Webcam offers are on the rise at the moment, this industry has become very popular. The target audience is enormous. People display a strong interest towards the topic.
— So, Alfaleads has webcam offers as well?
Yes, of course!
— I was in e-commerce before coming to Alfaleads, hence the question: if you realize that the e-commerce vertical is dying and there is nothing else you can do, how do you enter the dating vertical? And is it wise to choose dating?
Yes, it has been rumored that e-commerce is at its end or will be soon. Back in the old days, it was overwhelming in terms of volume. And many affiliates worked with it exclusively. Facebook was the main traffic source. However, Facebook has gone off its rocker recently and people turn to other traffic sources and verticals.
Dating is a rather simple niche to enter. You don't have to spend large sums. Testing in dating is fairly inexpensive. $150–500 will be sufficient to test it out and understand whether it is your niche or not.
The only thing you need to be prepared for if you switch to dating from e-commerce: you will have naked women on your computer 24/7
— It's a sure benefit for some people!
True, it may be a big advantage!
— Which GEOs are the easiest to start with?
It's easier to start with the cheaper GEOs. After all, the cheaper the GEO, the less you spend for testing. Moreover, Tier 3 has higher conversion caps than Tier 1.
— Any tips for long-standing dating affiliates? Tell us about approaches that proved useful during the last months.
Our guys have actively started driving UAC traffic to dating offers. Those who managed to enter the UAC niche at the very beginning now skim the cream. They know the UAC ways and their audience. They understand how to set tasks for the developers and get the perfect apps. These guys have been driving large volumes of traffic in recent months. But this is only possible for those who optimize the traffic and put effort into helping the advertiser reach their goals.
— Is there anything else?
This vertical favors experienced affiliates. They outstrip the newcomers thanks to the deep understanding of the product they are working with. It's not as simple as: take an offer – drive some traffic. You need to research the product and understand the flow. It is important to understand the advertiser's goals and their expectations from your traffic. Only then will you know what to do to hear them say: “This traffic is cool! Bring me some more! I will give you the best payout rates, conversion caps, and anything else you want!”
— And do you help your affiliates in this respect? Do you want new webmasters willing to dig deeper of their own accord? Or do you help them understand that they will be the first to benefit from the analysis and thorough understanding of the matter?
Of course, we help our affiliates with this. We have years of experience in the vertical and understand the products and the flow. We understand what the advertiser wants: whether it's subscriptions, credit purchase, etc. And if an affiliate asks me about it, I will always share the knowledge.
Also, if you need to optimize something, of course, we will help with that too. We even recommend disabling certain GEOs to improve traffic quality and make it more attractive for the advertiser.
— When Alfaleads seemingly stopped registering new affiliates many thought that it meant total shutdown. Later it was clear that the registration process has simply become more complex. In addition, the units such as the Dating Team were created. It only added to the confusion.
For those who still think that Alfaleads doesn't accept newcomers – this is not the case. Tell us about the Dating Team and how you work with the affiliates. Tell people that you don't bite and that working with you is actually cool and very easy!
Guys, we don't bite! We welcome you with open arms and wish to cooperate. Especially if you are wise and are ready to work for the future. I mean, it's not beneficial if you come and simply voice demands: "Give me a higher payout rate! Give me that conversion cap!” We always favor fruitful cooperation, because an affiliate network makes profit only when its affiliates make profit.
Yes, the registration issue created a lot of chaos. About 50 people wrote to me asking: “Have all of you been fired?", "Has Alfa closed?”, “What should I do?” Of course, we reassured them that all is well. Alfaleads is operating as usual. However, the registration is now restricted.
— Why is that?
The fact is an affiliate network of our standing receives circa 100–150 applications per day. And we had to process every application and spent a lot of time dealing with people who are not our target audience. And our collaboration would amount to no profit to any of us. Managers with high expertise are fewer in number than the affiliates, so it is not possible to assign each one a personal manager. Now each manager has about 30–50 active affiliates. Every day is filled up to the brim with giving explanations, changing links, etc.
In addition to working with affiliates, we deal with technical issues, marketing, etc. In other words, every day we have a lot on our hands and strive to stay productive.
For this reason, we have restricted the registration so that our Customer Care Team filters the entering requests and forwards only those aimed at fruitful cooperation. And it will be profitable both for us and our affiliates.
— And what was the result of restricting the registration? Was it the right decision? Can you tell that the people coming now are focused on achieving their goals, that there are no empty registration requests?
It definitely was a great decision. Now we have a huge amount of spare time. And the Customer Care Team can now dedicate time to analyzing the webmasters they are currently working with, help them develop, and pass them on to the managers.
Of course, those with no success record and no statistics are upset by our decision. On the other hand, experienced affiliates who aim at making good money are ready to attach a screenshot with statistics or to contact the manager directly. They have only benefited from our decision.
— Why did you split up and create a special Dating Team? And why is it a great solution?
We have formed a separate team. Now it includes three people: Alisa, Masha, and myself. You will meet the girls soon. The three of us work with dating, adult, webcam, etc. This yields good results, as we concentrate our efforts on getting exclusive offers and higher payout rates for our network. We analyze all incoming traffic, help our affiliates in their development providing them with tips and insights. And this has already proved a great approach, even though the Dating Unit is only three weeks old.
— Mary, tell us about the traffic sources. Which sources are the best for dating?
Firstly, it is the SEO traffic. Advertisers are always delighted when you bring the SEO traffic. They are willing to give much higher payout rates for it. You may get uncapped on your first or second day. The high quality of traffic is obvious because users come of their own volition and not because the ad prompted them to.
Secondly, it's the e-mail traffic. We have many offers and private payout rates for the e-mail traffic. This traffic is also very popular with advertisers, and they are willing to give higher payout rates and remove the conversion cap the very first day.
— Tell us about the offers. How often do you introduce new offers? Can an affiliate request a particular offer?
We integrate 2–3 new offers every day. Integration with an advertiser takes a couple of hours – and the offer is ready to go. Now the market is full of advertisers, exclusive offers, and juicy releases. If webmasters ask for something particular, it's not a problem for us. This happens a lot. We have a separate list of our offers for each GEO. So, guys, just contact us – we will share a Google Docs table.
It also happens that an affiliate wants to drive traffic to an offer from a different platform and at a higher payout rate. This is also welcome, it takes about 1–2 days to get them started.
— Where should one drive traffic to? What GEOs are the best? What offers are the most profitable?
We have listed the hottest items in the intro to this stream. These are the best at the moment, they have good conditions and traffic volume. As to the GEOs – Fun Chat for Germany is a cool one. The payout rate is very high, it is a SOI model with a fairly simple flow. We have created a large number of landing pages for it, and you can request landing pages made to order (for example, mainstream ones). If you need push notifications for an app for this offer, just ask!
Also, don't get stuck on Tier 1. We have many offers for other countries. Of course, the payout rates are lower, but they work nicely, convert well, and the entry threshold for them is lower.
— Ok, let's imagine that you have provided a webmaster with the coolest offer. Give us some tips on how to work with this offer, so as not to squander everything that the manager helped us with.
First, you should always double-check the link, even though managers always check it before issuing. It may prove faulty on one device or another. It's a small step and may be obvious, but it's very important.
Second, be sure to study the flow of your offer. It's not just about the target action the user needs to perform – to register, to confirm registration. I'm talking about the target action the advertiser wants – a subscription or a credit purchase. The better you understand what the advertiser wants, the better traffic you drive.
Third, don't get stuck on one creative. Make a set of creatives, because if something works for one source it doesn't necessarily mean that it will work for another. Use all kinds: static pictures, video, etc. It all depends on the source.
Fourth, we usually provide many landing pages for our offers. And if the default landing page doesn't perform well during the test, it doesn't mean that the offer itself performs poorly. Don't say that you've been given the wrong offer. Always test many different landing pages. You never know what will get your audience hooked. Maybe this particular landing page does not work well with your traffic source.
Fifth, it often happens that managers ask the affiliate to optimize certain parameters of the campaign: to disable certain GEOs, to fix the creatives. A wise affiliate would take the advice because these tips are given for a reason. However, some say: "I have everything in perfect order, it converts. Why change it?” This is not productive because everything the manager says comes directly from the advertiser. And the advertiser knows best what should be done to ensure the quality of your traffic. And if you ignore the optimization tips, then after some time you will be asked to stop your traffic. The advertiser will not work with you any longer because it is not profitable.
— I saw research stating that the dating market is likely to grow by 24% by 2023. What do you think about the prospects of this vertical?
The dating vertical will definitely grow further. During the pandemic, we saw that many businesses and areas of life were transferred into the online space. Few remain offline. And dating will definitely continue to grow. The more people are online, the wider is the target audience for dating. Advertisers are expanding their list of GEOs and products. I think this market will grow even more than by 24%.
QUICK Q&A
— Which converts better: mobile traffic or desktop traffic?
Mobile traffic.
— Your favorite place in Saint Petersburg?
Saint Isaac's Cathedral.
— The first offer that your first affiliate drove traffic to?
Gratorama
— Your craziest action?
Hitchhiking in Turkey.
— Three words to describe you?
Enthusiasm. Positivity. Success.
QUESTIONS FROM THE CHAT
— Do you have adult offers?
Yes, we mainly have adult offers. There are many both for Russia and for other GEOs. We definitely have at least one offer for each GEO.
— Do you drive Facebook traffic to dating offers?
Of course, we work with Facebook traffic. Though, not as much as we would like, because Facebook is currently up to tightening the rules. Many affiliates who work with mobile applications are switching to UAC. So, it's not all Facebook – there are many other sources. We are always happy to provide advice and to help with the transition.
— Do you use push traffic?
Yes, push traffic is also available. Quite a lot of it actually. There are offers that convert much better with push traffic.
— Is it a good idea to drive Google traffic?
Of course, it is!
— How to circumvent the problem of Facebook bans when driving traffic to dating offers?
To be honest, it is now very difficult to solve the ban issue, even for the mainstream offers. Therefore, we recommend avoiding Facebook if possible. There are many great sources aside from Facebook.
— Hitchhiking in Turkey? Sounds even more extreme than base jumping.
At the time, I didn't know what I was doing. It was an extreme trip. But in the end, it turned out to be a cool and positive experience. Although my family and friends were shocked: “What the hell are you doing?” Everything turned out nicely. I'm safe and sound!
— What traffic source prevails in terms of statistics?
60% — UAC and mobile apps
30% — e-mail
10% — banners, push notifications, and the rest

SiGMA and Alfaleads believe that further collaboration is going to make changes for the whole iGaming sphere.
It has been a while since our Research & Development team started looking for a solution that would help stabilize the workflow on Facebook (and some other sources).
App bans, faulty deep links, botched app builds, distorted distribution and swarms of fraudsters reselling the apps — are few of the pains any affiliate knows only too well. We really wanted to find something new that will allow us to do without the apps. And we see two solutions:
Spoiler: we have opted for the second one and found a loophole in the Facebook mechanisms. Now we are ready to present you with a case-guide for using PWA with event optimization.
A friendly warning: you will not find 300 ROI in the cases below
But earning money wasn't our goal this time. We needed to test out the technology/solution and demonstrate it to you. And we did it!
And now let's dive into the PWA, event optimization, and what we have discovered.
Step 1: hypothesis
So, we assumed that PWA can be used as an alternative to Webview applications. Alfaleads has already had a lot of work done in this direction — we have our own construction tool. Moreover, our PWA can send push notifications to users.
Step 2: development
However, something was missing — we still couldn't set up event optimization in FB. And now can proudly announce that we have finally managed to implement the event postback and we can work with event optimization.
This is how it works: there is a landing page that redirects users to PWA. This landing page has pixel tracking and powerful cloaking that filters out bot traffic. From the landing page, user goes to the "store" PWA page, which looks just like the well-known Google App store. The user downloads the PWA which has a Webview with the offer inside. Then he registers and makes a deposit. These events are posted back to our tracking platform, and we send them to Facebook from there.
Facebook has a learning mechanism that is trained to find the audience that performs target actions more often. For example, optimization for registration will increase the number of registrations and the CTR. As a result, the number of deposits should rise as well.
Now we only have to prove that the approach works in real life.
Step 3: practical application
In our experiment we took a Russian casino offer and compared the traffic flow in two cases: a) when driving directly to the offer page (with a pre-landing page); b) when driving to a Google Play replica page with a link to PWA.
Why don't we compare well-known Webview apps and PWA? It is no secret that a Webview app has a lifespan of 3–5 days on average (or none at all). Traffic loss is huge, accounts get banned, etc. For this reason, we turn to alternative schemes.
At the same time, we are studying performance of this approach for a different GEO — Australia. As soon as we have enough data, we will make a case demonstration for you.
Driving traffic directly to the landing page
We have implemented optimization for deposits and registrations on our landing and pre-landing pages. We tested out two options: using our own pre-landing page or choosing one from the advertiser database. Technical issues grew in number dramatically when we used our pre-landers and domain: the clickID was getting lost, the layout of pages was distorted, some devices displayed the pages incorrectly. Multitudes of variables undermine stability. Thus, it was necessary to monitor the process at all times. Therefore, it is much easier to use landing pages provided by the advertiser.
Launch algorithm:
Results:
Optimization for deposits did not work well, as the Facebook pixel does not have enough events with only one account. But optimization for registration went successfully: with the decrease in spending the number of registrations remained stable.
For our PWA experiment, we implemented only optimization for registration. We noticed that with PWA there were more deposits and the completion rate was higher. Considering the possibility of sending push notifications we get the maximum effect!
Launch algorithm:
Results:
The results were more impressive than on average for classic Webview applications. For comparison, here is the average data for the applications: inst2reg = 1:10, reg2dep = 1:8.5. However, here you need to consider the installation price — in case of PWA it may be higher than with usual applications!
To confirm that the solution is also viable for large volumes of traffic, we attach statistics from our Alfamedia media buying agency.
Based on the results of our experiment, we came to the following set of conclusions:
Alfaleads provides affiliates with:
To repeat (and, of course, improve!) our case and start working with PWA, contact your affiliate manager — he will give you access to the construction tool and supply you with everything you need to start the journey. We provide a ready-made solution for PWA campaigns — you just need to choose the right offer!
Want to learn more about PWA? Find more information here!
We are delighted to announce the launch of Crypto vertical in Alfaleads. We are all set and ready to go: you will find dozens of crypto offers with a high CR on the platform. The GEO coverage is massive, there are ready-made promo materials available and CPA/CPL payout models for you to choose from. Our team will assist you with the launch.
- And to make things even better, we give all crypto offers a 10% boost to the payout rates until the end of February
Why do affiliates love crypto?
Lots of affiliate marketing conferences ahead!
Keep our life hacks for working at such events. Once you've done that, you will be much more confident during the actual meetings!
Alfaleads life hacks:
- Make advance registration to all the side events: pre-parties, invite-only parties, meet-ups. The conference itself covers only half of the networking, the rest happens at the informal meetings.
- It is better to get your badge the day before the conference, it is usually possible. You won't stand in line when the conference opens.
- Come to the venue at the opening time and leave only when the event is over and you see dismantled booths. Conferences give unique opportunities to forge new partnerships, don't waste your time.
- Same goes for the parties, but the golden rule of affiliate networking says: "no business after 1 AM".
- Don't go to lunch alone — invite new partners!
- Carry a power bank with you, so you won't have to look for power plugs throughout the vast conference venue.
- When you strike an agreement with a new partner, take a selfie together and mail this picture along with the business details you've discussed.
- After the conference, you should follow up on every business agreement. And it's fine to send several reminders.
- Check the website of the conference in advance to see the list of attendees and choose the people you are interested in.
- For more options, join the official Telegram chats of the conference. You will know who is going to attend the event.
- Once you have a list of potential contacts, make notes for each person. Write down the things you want to discuss with them, the deals to negotiate, and prepare your arguments.
- Once you've done that, you will be much more confident during the actual meetings!

It is time for another article of the "Discovering geo" series!
Our subject for today is Poland. The country's appeal for affiliates lies in low competition, so pay close attention to our new guide!
Demographics and languages
Poland has a population of 38.6 million. The country is one of the most ethnically homogeneous in the world. Native poles make up 97% of the population, the remaining 3% are Russians, Ukrainians, Germans, Belarusians, Romani (Gypsies), etc.
The only official language is Polish. It is spoken by the vast majority (98%). Four regional dialects of Polish language — Lesser Polish, Masovian, Silesian and Greater Polish — are also quite common. Hence, the rule: all the ads should be in Polish.
More than 55% of the population can speak one foreign language fluently. The most common languages are Belarusian, Czech, Yiddish, German, and Russian.
High life expectancy is another prominent feature of the country. People aged 14–65 make up 71% (27.6 million) of the total population. By the age of 25, the proportion of men to women becomes 1:1. Among the elderly, women are significantly more numerous. In general, the population pyramid of Poland is of a constrictive type which is usually the case in developed countries.
Income
In terms of nominal GDP, the country ranks 21st globally and it is 24th in the ease of doing business rating. The World Bank classifies Poland as a high-income country. Over the past 8 years, the population's wages have grown by 40%, getting Poland ahead of many other EU countries. The average wage is €1050–1100 depending on the exchange rate.
The income of Polish people is also affected by their geographical location.
Online community
Research shows that 72% of the Poles use the Internet on a daily basis, among them 83% access the global network via mobile devices.
The majority of the users have graduated from a secondary school (41%). People with higher education rank second (26%). 17% of the users have obtained primary education, and 16% have vocational training.
By the end of 2018, the online audience featured 29.7 million users. In general, the majority of the population in Poland has access to the Internet, despite it being one of the most expensive in Europe.
The largest Polish Internet providers are Netia and TPSA. Internet speed range is 100–900 Mbps, the popular connection formats are LTE-B, VoWi-Fi, 5G is at the trial stage.
Dating
Poland is known for many adult offers, low-cost traffic and low competition. Since 86% of the Polish population is religious, and marriage is treated with much respect, you need to tread carefully with your creatives. Evidence shows that creatives featuring various tips from specialists and with the emphasis on family values perform well in the dating segment.
The most popular adult websites include the following:
• erodate.pl — sex dating website covering 6 cities in Poland
• tajnerandki.pl — "secret dating" portal for people unhappy in their marriage
• warszawskarandka.pl — online dating in Warsaw
• szybkiseksik.pl — no-strings-attached sex dating
iGaming in Poland
Today, gambling in Poland is legal, it is regulated by the Ministry of Finance. The following types of gambling are allowed by the State:
• Games of chance
• Slot machines
• Sports betting
Casino games are legal only on the premises of the gambling houses. There are about 8 of those in the whole of Poland.
The following casino games are allowed:
• Blackjack, poker, baccarat
• Slot machines
• Roulette
• Dice
There have been several changes in legislation aimed at attracting foreign investors. Even now, foreign companies are allowed to run gambling businesses as long as they have an official office in Poland and at least one Polish-speaking sales representative.
As authorized companies provide a limited selection of games, the majority of the audience still prefers gray-hat gambling businesses. For the government this means companies located outside the country yet offering unauthorized online gambling.
In general, the share of the grey-hat gambling in Poland is gradually decreasing. In 2019, it dropped to 18.5%, which is below the EU average. For now, illegal gambling businesses account for about 60% of the market.
Key points about iGaming in Poland:
— Gambling is allowed, with the exception of online poker
— Gambling license is valid for 6 years
— High taxation
— The gambling market is not privatized
— There is a 12% tax on bookmaker turnover and 20% on betting income
— Sports betting license is valid for 6 years and only available for the companies located in Poland
— The licensing process is slow
Why Polish audience is perfect for an affiliate
1. Polish people have a particular mindset: they are very patriotic, selfless, persistent, and may become reckless in view of success. Such an audience is easy to manipulate. The trick is in finding the right approach.
2. They are solvent — the average earnings vary between €1050–1100.
3. Polish people spend a lot of time online — about 28.2 million people go online every day.
4. Poles love online shopping: according to GlobalWebIndex, Poland is among the countries with the highest spread of e-commerce. You can get the best views on your ads in the morning and evening.

Hello, friends!
I'm Constantint, Head of Marketing at Alfaleads. Today, I'd like to shed some light on the inner workings of our company.
We always strive for perfection and try to make your experience with Alfaleads better than yesterday: negotiate exclusive deals and implement new services (for instance, we share the expertise of our R&D and Alfa Defense teams). To make a fair assessment of our progress, we ask our partners to share their opinion and then calculate our Net Promoter Score (NPS). In short, this index shows the customers' attitude towards a company.
Last month, we conducted another NPS survey among our partners, and I would like to share the results:
9–10 points — Promoters — 74.3%
7–8 points — Passives — 22.1%
0–6 points — Detractors — 3.7%
NPS = 70,6%
Such a result is praise to us, but it does not mean that we can't do even better. In the survey, we ask our partners: "Why have you chosen this mark?" and then make the necessary adjustments and improvements in our services. We are very thankful to all of you who have taken part in our survey — we can become better thanks to you.
Here on SurveyMonkey you can pick up more insights about NPS metrics. And if you want to share your thoughts about us, I'm here to listen!

From tutor to team leader: ROI 1000%
Zachary, please share your story. How did you find yourself in Alfaleads?
My journey at Alfaleads started in the summer of 2018. As a fresh Linguistics graduate, I knew nothing about affiliate marketing and was ready for a standard desk job. By that time, I have been 2-years deep in teaching English to students of other majors: the generic merry-go-round of lectures and exams. I also had a position as a private and group tutor at a language school.
And it so happened that Alfaleads HR chose this very school for their corporate program and the school chose me for the trial lesson. The lesson was a success, my approach to teaching suited the group well, so coming to Alfaleads office became a part of my routine. The corporate course included several groups, about 50 people in total.
And how did affiliate marketing come into the story?
I made friends with many guys from the company, especially talked a lot (and I'm still continuing!) with an affiliate and project manager. These guys sparked my interest in affiliate marketing. I saw the financial potential of this industry. I started filing CVs to various CPA companies and even had several job interviews.
Later I found out that at first they didn't want to take me on. However, I got the job in the end. I think it was mainly due to my motivation, quick thinking, and, of course, English expertise. Anyway, something played in my favor and I took the post of support manager at Alfaleads.
How did you build your expertise? Did you get any assistance from the company?
I waded through all the articles on affiliate marketing in any language I could read, I became a regular at industry forums like BlackHatWorld, I launched several push campaigns, and watched hours of tutorials on apps, schemes, etc.
Just at this time, a new team leader of affiliates with incredible expertise in gambling joined the company. She started a course of lectures for the employees telling us about the gambling industry, local legislations and cultural attitudes in various GEOs. It was a very interesting and productive period of recruitment expertise.
Now one can say that you are a star within the company! How did you manage to rise so efficiently?
The COVID pandemic began, and our whole team was working remotely. At the same time, all gaming lovers were also sitting at home and getting bored to death, consequently, they started spending much more time on gambling. Our profits grew, I personally saw my first significant records.
Working closely with our business development team, I managed to conquer new heights time after time.
We also had a cool promotion — managers were rewarded with gifts for good results. After the first month of this program in action, I got into the top and received a cool electric scooter. The next month was just as successful (with even bigger numbers!), so I received a 50-inch TV. Other managers also got rewarded with PS 5 consoles that have just been released at that point, scooters, and other cool stuff.
And now let's talk about financial success: have you already passed the milestone of one million?
Huh, I don't like to share the figures, but I will share a big joy of mine: I have bought a car recently. And this is only the beginning. One million is in sight, and I'm getting closer to it! True professionals are always valued at Alfaleads.

Meet our time management expert Kristina K., Customer Care Team Quality Assurance Specialist.
"There are a million ways to lose a work day, but not even a single way to get one back." Tom DeMarco
Time is a valuable resource. It is straightforward, irreversible, and cannot be bought or borrowed.
We have 24 hours a day, but some manage to do everything they want, others constantly run short of time.
And since lack of time and procrastination are very relevant for a modern person, we think it is high time to remind you of 5 important components of a productive day.
Plan your activities.
"Vision without action is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare." Japanese proverb
At the beginning of each day, it is important to clearly understand your goals. Divide goals into tasks, order them by importance (make a numbered list), and divide tasks into specific steps. This will give you a clear understanding of the scope of work and your priorities.
It is more convenient to plan your day in advance before you go to sleep the previous day. In the morning you may only need to make minor adjustments.
A small tip: use daily planners or mobile apps with checklists. Ticking off a completed task is a special treat for your brain and makes you feel good.
Set deadlines.
As long as your task is not time-limited, you will find excuses to postpone it. By setting a deadline, you commit yourself to the task and create artificial pressure that disciplines you.
Identify the "time killers".
Think about things you spend your time on during the day. Are they really important?
First, analyze and, if possible, record everything you do during the day indicating the duration of these activities. Cut the things that do not bring you closer to your goals and just kill your time.
From personal experience, I can say that social networks have recently become terrible time killers for many people. So I will recommend installing a special tracking application on your phone. It will monitor the usage of various services, messengers and social networks and allow you to block them, for example, at specified periods during the day.
Learn to say "no".
Always remember that you may lose precious time if you cannot say "no".
You should learn to understand how much time and effort you will spend on fulfilling somebody else's request and whether it relates to YOUR goals at the moment. Maybe it is better to redirect the task to someone else who will be better suited to help. And, of course, think your refusal through and stay polite.
Have a good rest.
"People who cannot find time for recreation are obliged sooner or later to find time for illness." John Wanamaker
It is important to rest well to be productive and stay focused. Plan your time off just like you plan the tasks. Rest should include the things that really fill you with energy (sleep, hobbies, spending time with family and friends).
And while working, take small breaks and try to make a complete switch. If you work in front of the monitor, it's better to lay the gadgets aside during the break. And know the difference between rest and procrastination. Work in working hours, have a good rest during your break.
Bonus tip:
"Two-Minute Rule": if you have a task that can be done within two minutes — do it immediately.
This task will not consume much energy, but will fill you with satisfaction and save you from an avalanche of small deadlines and feeling guilty for not being productive.
This useful habit will motivate you during the day and help you stay productive. Start now!

iGaming and Betting in Brazil
Demographics
The population of Brazil is above 214 million people. This country ranks 6th in the world in this respect. On average, 67% of citizens are from 15 to 65 years old. There are 47% of white people, and 43% are mixed-race. The official language is Portuguese, and it is spoken by 99% of the population.
Christianity is the main religion — 88% of Brazilians are Christian, the rest of the population are atheists, Buddhists, pagan, or follow a minority religion.
iGaming
Online casinos are very popular in Brazil. This is mainly due to their legal status, which cannot be said about their brick-and-mortar counterparts.
The core audience of gambling platforms consists of men aged 22–35 who spend an average of 3,000 reais (~$560) per month on betting.
Betting
Local betting platforms were licensed in 2018, and since then the industry has started to look up. Licensing has become a tool the government uses to bring more money into the state treasury. Even now, offline betting shops are banned.
Brazilians watch football, basketball, and volleyball matches, also follow various motorsport competitions, as well as martial arts such as jiu-jitsu, capoeira, and MMA. Mixed martial arts are especially popular, and people often bet on Brazilian athletes.
