Hi everyone!
I've been reading quite a lot on the forum, and almost every post for begginers have the same (or similar) approach for begginers:
For a test round it´s best to run matching elements.
For example grab few iPhone 11 or $500 Amazon voucher offers and test them with few appropriate landers that match the offers.
But check that you test different landing page styles (not variations of same style) to find out which style is doing best for you.
Hi,
That makes much more sense. But I also don't really get why I should promote the same offer. I mean, would not me much more useful to promote 4-5 offers that your AM told you have a good CR ?
Thanks in advance!
Of course you can also just take the recommend offers and then test them all in separate campaigns.
But then you also need to customize the landers to match each offer.
There are some "things" that need to match from the creative through the LP to the offer, or the campaign won't stand a chance.
For example using a 20 year old blonde girl on the banner, then showing a mature asian women on the LP and sending the clicks to some senior dating website... that's not gonna work.
Or, promoting a "tesco" voucher on the ad, then showing iphones on the LP and sending the clicks to a McDonalds voucher sweep offer... not gonna perform well again.
But, sometimes you can mix it up as certain products might be compatible.
Just a few rough examples
... banner with iphone, but promoting an ipad giveaway.. that could work as it's a similar product group.
... tesco voucher on the ad, but a costco voucher giveaway offer... could work again as it's both about shopping.
So as long as you stay withing a niche, you can try to mix it up to see whether it makes sense. In many cases it wont and you will need to use LPs and offers that are above the same product or service. But you never know, I've seen all kinds of crazy setups performing well
And there are also generic LPs that are compatible with multiple offers/niches or even verticals. Simple warning pages, product walls where you can show multiple products and hence promote multiple offers... There are also LPs that distribute clicks to multiple offers, based on user preferences... you can get creative.
But if you're just starting out, try to use LPs that match the offers. You can test several offers at once of course, just make sure that they match the product on the LP. So if the LP is for iphone sweeps, try to find several iphone sweep offers and split test them.
