You can also target Facebook - desktop - right column to avoid the commenting section and still hit the FB audiences (since a lot of oldies don't have insta yet)! Great numbers for now, followin this!

Break-even on day three! Nice play, @domi835.
I like the approach how you're fighting negative comments with with IG Story ads only. Smart!
Good luck.

Day 5
I was able to make a a 67% ROI on the initial adset on day 5. What a huge mental success for me

.
But the thing is the broad audience is very volatile sometimes its profit sometimes loss. But for testing its perfect as i am break even. I decided to cut the broad audience and go for the niche.
Day 6
So i set up a new campaign with interests about the niche and tried a new strategy which i never tested before. Started the campaign at midnight and got really good CPC from the beginning (0,04 - 0,07 cent). The conversionrate went significantly higher!
At the end of day 6 my mind was blown! My strategy worked! I was able to make profit and a
ROI of 109 % for the whole campaign. Some adsets are even higher with about
200% ROI.
Whats next:
Small scaling: I am going to duplicate the campaign and double the budget from 5 to 10 € per adset. I want to leave the original campaign as it is.
What do you think about the scaling strategy?
Cheers Dominik
Definitely try with a higher budget now, that's the easiest way of scaling... open the gates a bit, there is way more traffic to have
Personally I would just up the budget in the existing campaign, but I understand you want to play it safe and these algos can act weird at times after budget changes.

Awesome! Back when I tried Facebook for sweepstakes, I also found that IG story ads worked the best. However I never tried the video ads. Good on you for making that work - less people are willing to put in the time to make videos.
I stopped doing Facebook because my accounts keep getting banned and my daily ad spend was capped at about $30.
Wondering if you have the same issue.. If not, mind sharing your set up?

Yeah scaling means mostly spread it asap over more and more accounts, but try not too exaggerate (so spread it during the weeks). After that start scaling budgets on the accounts having profit. If one goes down you have a "safety net" so you keep busy and keep volumes!
Patience is very important now ;-), as @s3ks3k mentioned because of possible bans and capped spend limits on loads of accounts.

Yes that was my concern so for now i leave the original as it is and maybe increase the budget in steps over the week if its stable.
Today i started the Duplicate of the original with double the budged. lets see how it works

Thanks! Yeah they really work well and the CPC´s are very low as low as 0,02 €. I do a really simple "IG Story style" videos its really not a big deal - but you must have the product

.
So far I´ve had no issues with a ban in this campaign. I had one ban about a year ago but was able to reactivate the account(new ad account). I pray that it will never happen again

... I try to be honest in my ads and do no misleading stuff. Simple ad -> survey lander -> offer

Ok so do you mean i should spread it across my ad accounts (i have 5 of them)? Or an other facebook account (like from my mom

)?
Yeah that really makes sense to build up a safety net.
You are absolutely right! I dont want to rush now and grow the campaign step by step.

Day 7
Heres a quick update from yesterday. Insane 40€ profit on that day. My best day so far.
Today I started a duplicate of the original campaign with 5 adsets and 10 € per day.
Whats next:
So after reading all your great comments, i put together a strategy in my mind for the next days:
- Testing more audiences, also trying a Lookalike audience optimized for affiliate link klicks (when i have enough data).
- Testing new video ads, and landers/offers.
- Reduce the risk of a ban by spreading the campaign over multiple accounts. I am going to make a copy of the best campaign. Set it up in the other accounts and let it run for 5 € a day per adset to see if its profitable.
- Increase the budget slowly on the profitable campaigns + duplicate them.

Hey guys just a quick update on the campaign. After I duplicated the campaign and increased the budget for scaling, the CPC (maybe becaus of the easter weekend?) suddenly went up also the CR is significantly lower than before. Yesterday was the first day were I made about 20 € loss.
Also the campaigns which i let untouched aren´t converting anymore. Even good new audiences with an initial ROI of 100% went down to almost no conversions.

The advertiser wants to scale the campaign because of the good quality. I´ll try a lookalike audience optimized for button clicks now and see if it works.
Do you have tips how to get the campaign green again?

I prefer to wait a while before panic. One off-day doesnt mean you are doing something wrong or the campaign doesn't correct itself after some days. Even the best restaurants have bad days man, also when the menu, athmosphere and staff are the same as before.

Hey guys sorry for the late answer,
@amanj86 I was trying to optimize but it seems the campaign needs a little "kickstart" never got the initial CR of 7 % back it jumps around 4 % in fact I spent 729,87 € on ads and made back 730,55 €. For me its a success because i don't have to pay much for learning with fb ads and reading data
.
I am currently preparing new campaigns for IG Storys also looking forward to test some camps with Push. I will update this post frequently with new stats
.

Hey mpa3yka!
Unfortunately Facebook shutted down my accounts like crazy, even when I tried whitehat offers. I am working now on push ads.
