What should I do with the un converting countries in a camping?

Hi STM,

I have a camping that is running now for 2.5 days.As you can notice there are countries that have o conversions but negative profit-
in what stage should i give up on them (turn them off)?

I think this is the best reference post for cutting: you will find a checklist and some links to other useful threads.

Anyway, for a quick answer, it looks like you haven't received almost any traffic in the countries with no conversion, so you can wait to have some data before "turning them off"!

Thank you so much!!
This is exactly what i need for now!!!

Are you actually targeting these countries in the campaign(s) that you're running? I'm asking because even in cases where you target just a single country, for example, some visits from other GEOs will usually slip through and there is not much you can do about it. Part of it are bots, or it's a result of failed targeting/filtering on behalf of the traffic source.

But yes, I'm with luke, the volume of clicks you have received is very minimal, so not much to do about it at this stage.

Hi Maya,

The problem with deciding to cut geos in your case, is that you are getting very little traffic to measure anything.
I think the lack of data is mainly caused by the targeting multiple Geos under a single campaign.
The 0.10 bid over such broad targeting will cause specific geos to get most of the traffic, while others to be skipped.

The solution will be to target each geo as its own campaign.

Looking at the data from Colmbia which seems to have received most of the traffic, you have about 0.76% conversion rate. ( (196/25788) * 100) )
Which basically means that for every 1000 pops, you will get around 7.6 subscriptions.

Using that base data you collected, you can choose to setup some new campaigns to find some winners that can make you money.
Here is what i suggest:

1. Create a campaign for each GEO you can collect push subscribers for
a. Based on the Colombia data you collected, we can have a benchmark number to test against. So if in Colombia for each 1000 visitors, we have 7.6 conversions. I would increase that % a little for testing purposes and assume that the conversion rate is 1%, so for every 1000 visitors, i get 10 conversions.

b. Now that you know how many conversions to expect for 1000 visitors, you can figure out how to bid for each geo for secondary testing.
If for example United Arab gets you $0.0575 per conversion, and you are assuming 10 conversions for 1000 visitors for secondary testing, you can bid $0.575 per 1000 visitors
to break even.
Do that for every geo you are allowed to test, run tests assuming 1% conversion rate and calculate your bid based on the payout.

c. Now you let it run to collect new data, what you want to see for the next step, is to find out which placements/publishers for each geo working for you. They don't have to be
profitable (yet) but what you looking for are conversions.
To get sufficient data i would allocate budget for each campaign at around $5-$10, could be less, could be more, but that should give enough info to make decisions.

2. Now its time to analyze the data after a day or two. You want to start digging for diamonds. You are looking for geos that can provide with high enough traffic and enough conversions.
a. If a geo doesn't get data with your bidding it most likely means that this geo will not be profitable, because it can't provide enough traffic & conversions at the current bid. Cut
it for now. You can test it later to find golden publishers at a good price, but for now you want to focus your efforts on the best possible options.

b. Now its time to look into each geo and find the golden nuggets that are working. I detailed my method doing this same challenge here. It should help you go down to details.
But as a quick summary. Now you can eliminate all the publishers that don't provide enough conversions, recalculate the actual conversion rate for each geo, and bid about
half of that for 1000 visits. This will give you publishers that make you money by bidding lower than their performance.
