Yo guys!
Not so long ago a good friend of mine asked me to join a webinar as a guest for his digital agency. I was sharing step-by-step presentation how I'm collecting hot B2B leads (upgraded version of this thread). Purpose of the presentation was just to provide valuable content to his database.
In the presentation I was sharing stuff like:
- how to build database from scratch
- use case of on-the-fly personalized images
- my own campaigns (emails, results, angles, everything)
- how use top-performing FB ads to boost email CR
- tips to skyrocket the CTR
- ...
Feedback from the audience was amazing and after the webinar he got many warm-up leads for his agency to plan, prepare and execute similar campaigns.
The thing is that I can't do consulting or any operational tasks. But I know many businesses can generate a lot of money if they follow the processes. We've generated $100k+ so far using this exact approach because leads we're collecting are B2B and they are worth a lot once you convert them.
Does anyone have an idea how to monetize this on a bigger scale?
Thanks!
PS: If anyone is interested for a JV or something similar, let me know. I believe we can find a way to make some money together.

This is a quite common lead generation and lead qualification tool in content marketing. Whether it is via "whte papers" or webcasts, or other similar content, you collect lead data in return for giving access to download or see the content.
Another way would be to offer paid access to the presentation. This is much harder to pull off as either the content, the marketing, or the people involved needs to be strong enough so that people would be willing to take out their credit card in order to pay. Of course, the benefit to you is that you get the payment upfront.
Thank you, @cmdeal! It would be definitely much easier if I would have my own product/service related.
Here's how I moved forward for now.
1. Contact CEO of lemlist.com (MailShake alternative)
2. Told them about my case-study and how I'm using MailShake
3. Asked him if he is interested to do a webinar with me where I reveal all my campaigns and everything
4. At the end of the PPT I tell why I'm switching from MailShake to Lemlist (very legit reason)
5. Asked for rev-share model for new members (recurring)
Of course, I have sent very similar email to the guy who is running user acquisition for MailShake.
Let's see now if anyone will get back to me.
Based on the presentations I've seen, I would say there are two approaches:
1. You have your own product and you use the presentation to sell it. So it's like a supportive channel for selling your services or products. In such case, you basically establish yourself as an expert to make people wanna work with you.
2. The other way is making a presentation that was planned to be monetized. In such cases, all the ones I've watched were using services/products that had affiliate programs or directly paid the presenter to be featured. So basically, they were showing some procedures done with a specific product that they had affiliate links for, below the presentation... I'm sure you know what I mean.
So what you mentioned above might work, redo the presentation with a different product that you can also get commissions from, or strike an influencer type of a deal with them. It might take some time to get there, and grow your audience, but it's definitely doable. You can also do what podcasters are doing, so insert "paid product recommendations or ads" into the presentation.
@matuloo thanks for the suggestions. That's my main challenge because I don't have related product or service. The presentation was made just to help a friend with some content.
Luckily, I just received a reply from Lemlist and they see my proposal as a great idea.
Let's see how this plays out if we organize a webinar together.
