Download: The ULTIMATE Sweeps Lander

Well, maybe not really the ultimate sweeps lander but at least a very good one for the lazy ones among us

I guess most of you know the gift box lander.

Probably also most of you know the version where you can edit the different values all comfortable in the JS file so that customizing the lander for different products is much easier.

I give you my version of the lander now where it´s even easier than the JS version.

In my version you can edit the values with URL parameters so you don´t even need to make changes in the files anymore when you want to run different products or call out different brands.

Let me show you what I mean.

When you open the lander just the way it is it looks like this

As you can see I use the {device_brand} token from my tracker to callout the "sponsor".
That way the users device brand will be shown on the modal and the lander itself.

I use Binom so the token can be different depending on the tracker you use.

By default the values for the brand and product that you want to promote are set to "Brand" and "Product".
I know, not very creative but what of it

Now let´s say you want to promote a Samsung Galaxy S20.

Then you just add ?bra=Samsung&pro=Galaxy+S20 to the URL and see what happens

You can also change the "sponsor" when you add &spo=SPONSOR to the URL

When you want to add a logo to the top left corner or a header to the top right corner just put the files in the folder with the landing page and write the names in the javascript.js file

To add a logo change line 26

Code:
var a = "YOU_LOGO.png"; // logo relative path
To add a image as right header change line 27

Code:
var a2 = "YOUR_HEADER.png"; // header right icon relative path
And here is the link to the DOWNLOAD

Have fun.

P.s.: Don´t forget to change the click URL in the index.html

Dude. This is awesome. Using tokens like this may also save you from of traffic source rejections {device_brand} is safer than Mcdonald's.

Good timing too, I was just about to make a shit ton of these for a bunch of testing

Great LP, thanks dude! I am just wondering is there any guide here on STM about LP colors, elements, text. What colors to choose for better CTR, etc.

These elements definitely do have impact on the final performance of an LP, but there are no definitive guides on what color schemes to use. You need to test it.

There are some general guidelines to follow when working with colors, specific colors are known for being tied to certain emotions/reactions, check the picture below:

Speaking from my own experience, the importance of colors goes up when you're trying to reach a specific goal with the LP, for example in case of using a specific known brand it makes sense to use their color scheme. Sometimes it's a good idea to match the color scheme with the one used on the final offer page etc... But frankly, these "smaller" changes proved to be of less importance than the headline, copy or the quality of ads or the promoted offer. Those are the most important parts to focus on.

Matuloo is right about colours and stuff.

It can be more important when you want to achieve specific goals where it can help to subliminally trigger specific senses or emotions.

But for sweep landers for example it´s not that important.

There it can help more when you try to mimic the colour scheme from trusted and authority websites or for example carriers can also work for some offers..

If you are interested in the colour stuff you could check HERE to get an idea about colours that are a good match for different colour schemes.

To know what colours trigger what senses and emotions just do a quick Google search.

But again, for our standard sweeps landers or so it´s not that important.

This is awesome thanks for the share! By the way, can I use this for pop ads? I am just starting and trying to do an LP by myself and I want to test this out as well.

In DE.

It's that good

"Find the giftbox in the picture below, you might be in for a suprise!" -> click -> prelander with the gixboxes
just hide a giftbox in a store or other relevant location of the brand

"Can you spot the difference? Hit it and we might treat you this month!" -> click -> prelander with the gixboxes
just create in image of 2 giftboxes/giftboxes placed somewhere and make one adjustement to create the difference game.

And ofcourse adjust the intro text of the prelander, based on the ad. etc etc... but their are several more different angles to get people to the giftbox page ofcourse!

Just kidding, it´s because the lander is made with love for my homies

Thanks so much mate! This lander is amazing. Super clean code, love it! Makes a change to most landers I open up! haha.

I've been working on something similar, and now have landers with JS so I can translate them super quick. But after having a look at your lander, you do it in a much more efficient and clean way. I'm going to use it as my example for future landers.

I'm off to test the lander out right now!

Thanks again,

Gavin

I tested it for CC submits as well and often/mostly it worked better than questionnaires.

Thank you for this amazing share @twinaxe! Did you code it yourself or was it outsourced?

Some time ago I downloaded the base lander from Adplexity and the worked a bit on it myself so that it´s better for my own needs.
I got it translated into several other languages and also run it in few different looks.

Then I thought about a way to dynamically change some text on the lander with help of the values from the URL parameters.
Sounded good for me when you want to test different sweeps because it can save lots of work.

But I am no real coder myself and wasn´t able to get it done on my own so the in-house coder of a friend of mine did that code

Hi @twinaxe thank you for this amazing lander. Have adjusted it to my purposes and will soon test it.

Question:

What is the reason the click url is put in there 3 times? From my understand only in id=m3 the link will be opened? So what do the previous two click url links do?

<div class="t" id="m_1" style="display: block;"><div class="t_a">
<div id="m_1_i" class="t_i"><img src="a.png"></div>
<div id="m_1_t" class="t_t"></div>
<div id="m_1_d" class="t_d"></div>
<div id="m_1_b" class="t_b"><a href="https://trackingurl.com" onclick="$('#m_1').hide();$('#m').hide();return false;"></a></div>
</div></div>
<div class="t" id="m_2"><div class="t_a small">
<div id="m_2_i" class="t_i"><img src="s.png"></div>
<div id="m_2_d" class="t_d"></div>
<div id="m_2_b" class="t_b"><a href="https://trackingurl.com" onclick="$('#m_2').hide();$('#m').hide();$('#m_2 .t_a').addClass('small');return false;"></a></div>
<script id="try_num">var try_num = 3;</script>
</div></div>
<div class="t" id="m_3"><div class="t_a small">
<div id="m_3_t" class="t_t"></div>
<div id="m_3_s" class="t_t"></div>
<div id="m_3_i" class="t_i"></div>
<div id="m_3_d" class="t_d"><p></div>
<div id="m_3_b" class="t_b"><a href="https://trackingurl.com" onclick="go();"></a></div>

The link has no real function, it´s basically only to make the button clickable to trigger the onclick event.

You can change the first 2 links to whatever you want, # would also work

Code:
<div class="t" id="m_1" style="display: block;"><div class="t_a">
<div id="m_1_i" class="t_i"><img src="a.png"></div>
<div id="m_1_t" class="t_t"></div>
<div id="m_1_d" class="t_d"></div>
<div id="m_1_b" class="t_b"><a href="#" onclick="$('#m_1').hide();$('#m').hide();return false;"></a></div>
</div></div>
<div class="t" id="m_2"><div class="t_a small">
<div id="m_2_i" class="t_i"><img src="s.png"></div>
<div id="m_2_d" class="t_d"></div>
<div id="m_2_b" class="t_b"><a href="#" onclick="$('#m_2').hide();$('#m').hide();$('#m_2 .t_a').addClass('small');return false;"></a></div>
<script id="try_num">var try_num = 3;</script>
</div></div>
<div class="t" id="m_3"><div class="t_a small">
<div id="m_3_t" class="t_t"></div>
<div id="m_3_s" class="t_t"></div>
<div id="m_3_i" class="t_i"></div>
<div id="m_3_d" class="t_d"><p></div>
<div id="m_3_b" class="t_b"><a href="https://trackingurl.com" onclick="go();"></a></div>

Aaah cool thank you. First I thought that I could be used to track what or how many times people actually have been clicking on. Not sure if such stats would be of any benefit.

Whishing you a happy Easter.

Sure, such things can happen pretty easy when you are not that much used to it.

It´s always good to check everything double and triple in the beginning.

But even later such stuff can happen, I also just oversee really basic stuff sometimes and have no idea then what´s wrong until I realise that I just missed something very basic

01-20-2021 06:06 AM #32 mantas (Member)

great LP!

BTW, I have deleted both prize images(it is Samsung S20 I guess) so it eliminates incongruences when I want to test some other prizes. @twinaxe Just curious, are you running iPhone offers with the Samsung phone image when mass-testing?

Also, I am trying to think of a more generic CTA so I can mass-test SOI and Mobile content offers with this same lander in one campaign.

Maybe I will even code a script so the CTA on the LP changes based on the url parameter. I will share to the community when I will finish it!

Here are a few snippets of code I wrote that do text replacement based on URL params, to help you start:

No, I either use a correct prize image or a general image like confetti.

At the moment I also work on an updated version of the lander.

Hopefully it´s ready these days, will share it then.

Hey guys,
may I ask your opinion on prelanders from the networks?

When there's a prelander available, is it better to use it instead of your own landers, to not use those offers at all or what are your experiences on this?

Thank you

I wouldnt try that, since it probably used/abused by a lot of other affiliates. Unless they tell you else.

Offers usually have an link/creatives page where you can choose with or without pre-lander.

I almost always choose without pre-lander.

Because:

You can't optimize a networks/advertiser's lander.

You have no idea what their CTR is.

You can't use backbutton or push subscription scripts.

The exception, would be obscure geos that I don't have translations/landers for, like Ethiopia, and direct linking to the offer's prelander is just faster/easier to test for potential.

@florakija

It depends on the networks prelander.

When it´s just a "select your S20 model" it´s definitely better to use own prelanders.

When it´s a spinwheel or survey it can work to use only the networks prelander.

Mostly I would still splittest with and without prelanders, surprisingly enough it happens that an own prelander works better than just the network ones, even when it´s same style.

Offers usually have an link/creatives page where you can choose with or without pre-lander.
Sure, when it´s possible to choose between with and without I also prefer to use without and run own prelander.

I see. Interesting!
I imagine it can help to use prelanders from a network, if they are already perfectly translated in a foreign language (at least as a beginner)

But totally get that usually own landers are better.

Thanks @twinaxe

The closed gift box and the open gift box are two distinct images. You are probably missing the image of the closed gift box, or it is not located at the right place.
