How best to dial in native ads for niche pick-up offer?...

What I mean is, the offer will only be of interest to a tight niche (single guys into pick-up).

Forgive the newb question, but is it possible to target the ads to the intended demographic?

How best to do that?

Most platform categories seem way too broad...

Also, this a real low ticket offer ($25). I have a 50% interest in the product, so my pay out would by <$15. Is it even worth promoting on native?

Well, I am no Native expert myself but let me try it anyway

On Native you can target by things like Geo, devide, OS and such stuff and then mostly you can also target by website categories.

But when it´s such a tight niche you probably won´t find it in the category selection.
Then you could ask your AM at the native platform or the support for websites/widgets that match your niche.

That way you could make sure that your ads are only shown on websites that are related to what you want to promote.

But also keep in your mind, even when you want to promote in such a tight niche it doesn´t mean that your user are only interested in that niche and only visit website in that niche.
They will also browse on news websites, sports websites, entertainment websites, electronics websites, gaming websites and whatever.

So when you work with different angles you could try to create angles/stories about your product that is related to the other websites as well.
That way you can build interest for your product even when you can´t target these specific niche.

Your niche is "single guys into pick-up" so try to come up with angles that attract other people as well.
The niche itself is pretty tight but there are many guys out there who wish they were better to pick up girls.

For computer websites: "Are you a nerd who´s sitting in front of the PC all day and never met a girl in real life? - Learn HERE how to pick up the hottest chicks."
For health related websites: "Do you care for your health? - Lear how to have a date each date just from your healthy lifestyle"
For car websites: "87% of all girls secretly love big cars. - With this trick you can take advantage of their desire"

And please edit your posts instead of making a new one when you need to add something.

Will help to keep the forum cleaner

Do you mean to figure out sites that cater to my niche, and approach them directly re: running ads?

No, you can run on networks.

But when you have such a small niche it can be hard to have enough websites from that niche directly available.

So it´s better to work with different angles to build a bridge between other verticals and your niche.
That way you can get more users interested or engaged who don´t browse websites in exact that niche but still could be interested in it.

This product of yours could convert well on escort traffic... the problem is, it's hard to find. There are quite a few escort websites out there, but a very small % of them are running ads from some network. So you have to go for direct buys or use their internal ad systems. It's gonna be labor intensive, but the traffic quality can be very high. Try to explore this option.

That is a genius tip. Thank you!

It would depend tremendously on the native network you are talking about and the geo and lots of other stuff.

Most info products being run on native are vsl-based, primarily Clickbank products, and have lots of upsells and cross-sells to maximize average order value, which usually ranges from 40$-160$. Examples would be DIY Power Guides, Diabetes Health Books, Weight-Loss guides, Back Pain Relief guides, etc. These are very successful on Revcontent, Outbrain, etc. Average commission is 75%-90% for the affiliate.

There was a product reminiscent of what you are talking about called The Tao Of Badass on Clickbank for awhile that I used to see run occassionally on MGID. You could check it out to see an example of something that (at least at some point) worked on native, and you could check on Adplexity to see if it is still running.

With that being said, it's unbelievably hard to make native (or any media-buying) profitable even when running the most proven, perfectly-executed products out there, so doing so with a new product that is un-proven is usually next to impossible.

I would focus first on mastering one specific native network, then once you are running other stuff profitably on it, then start experimenting with new offers, your own offers, etc.

Hope that helps!

So what alternative would you recommend for this offer?

Test on some sponsored lists at 100% comm. and then scale or drop?
