Translating landers (6)

Translating landers

I'm wondering if I'm translating Landers in the most effective and time efficient way.

I started by just ripping the Landers from Adplexity, copying all the text I want translated into a word file. Sending this off for translation, Then re-copying the translation into the page.

This takes a while and I was searching for a more efficient way.

I saw a lander I had ripped used JS with IDs/query selectors etc and had all the translations in one place, replacing the text in the page once loaded with the translation text.

I implemented that style into one of my Landers as a test and it was definitely faster to enter the translations.

Is this the most efficient way of translating landers?

Or am I overthinking this entirely and should I just rip landers and not care about translations until I see green and promise in a camp? Then get translations done.

Trying to find the balance between speed and things that actually make a difference to the success of the camp.

My goal is to test more offers so I'm trying to streamline the process.

Thanks, Gavin.

The question was at the back of my mind, while I am trying to create prelanders for Indian traffic and want to translate from Hindi to English.

I could not use prelanders because they were in local languages in Europe. Not sure what would help - a direct link or a bad translation or find the best translation.

This is helpful interaction.

Since you already have Adplexity, it'd be easier to rip and use already translated landers from geos you are targeting.

Spending money on translation for a lander that might already be out there, will just weight on your pockets and you haven't yet tested the offer. Better focus on improving landing page translation for potentially profitable offers, this way your profits will back up the translation cost.

Also, keep present that some landing pages perform differently from one geo to another, so better try ripping landers from the geo you are targeting.

Thanks for the input @platinum. That makes sense. I think I have got a little mixed up in getting a good efficient flow together to test offers. I'll take your suggestion on board and hopefully I can get faster at testing.

Another related question is that I am currently doing both POP & PUSH. I wondered should I have both Adplexity mobile and push subscriptions? Are they both essential or can you get by with just one subscription?

Thanks, Gavin.

Some thoughts:

-To start with, I would just rip landers that are already in the respective languages. If you rip the ones that have "received most traffic" and the graphs indicate that a considerable amount of traffic has been sent to them over at least a few days, then chances are they're decent converters - otherwise the affiliate wouldn't have spent all that money running so much traffic to them.

-When you have a promising campaign, by all means get translations and even from more than one translator.

-To do so more efficiently: Can message translators to ask whether they'd accept:

a)HTML files (landing page files)
or
b)Image files (screenshots you take)

...and provide translations of all the text they see displayed on the webpage(s). Some may say no and others may charge you extra, but that would be an option.

-If running pop and push and need to subscribe to one spy tool: I would suggest getting Adplexity push, as it includes most landers from pop plus the more aggressive ones (e.g. for cc submits).

hey Gavin!
when I started as a mediabuyer there was a good service where you could put a copied html code and it translated everything to the language you'd chosen. If I'm not mistaken it was called "landermix" or so. There was a good variety of languages to choose. Though I see the domain got burnt now, but there is a youtube intro made by someone else - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjb...cg0X7Fs5Kybzxw . Maybe you can check it and find smth similar? It truly saved my time as I didn't have to copy the text all the time, just used the code.
if you find smth alike, please share, i'd be more than happy if anybody has created smth similar.
P.s. the translation level there was much better than in almost every common free service
