Picking Up Women / Adult Dating PPC Campaign (20)
Hi there peeps,
For about the past 2 months I have been running a direct linking adult campaign using 7 search and and some adult dating offers via Azoogle, and Neverblue.
These campaigns were just in profit, but not by the biggest amount. My ad spend with 7search has been $75 and my revenue has been $81.
I have mainly just been using 7searches tracking pixel, and asking my AM to configure it to the offers i am promoting for tracking, and has given me some good data...ie what keywords are converting that have allowed me to optimise.
I have installed Prosper202 on a separate domain ie http://trackingppctraffic.co.uk but as of yet, have not run a full scale campaign through Prosper yet.
Does Prosper202 give you a lot of advantages over just standard pixel tracking?
I now want to take this small direct linking campaign and scale it up with landing pages, a free PDF, and an autoresponder series, and that is what I plan to outline on this follow along.
Here is how far I have got so far;
I have just purchased a new domain adult orientated domain, and am going to install a wordpress blog.
My plan is to fill the blog with about 10 pages of valuable content (have written about 40% of the content so far) focused on picking up women...I will be referencing a lot of material from a lot of persuasion books like Robert Cialdini's Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion, as well as Flipnosis by Kevin Dutton.
The ultimate plan, is to get people to sign up to an e-mail series in order to download a short 10 page PDF with top tips.
In these articles (wordpress blog), the e-mail series, as well as the PDF I am planning to add in my affiliate link to some of these adult dating services....
I will be using 7 search as well as a few other 2nd tier PPC networks to drive traffic to this blog, with the landing page being the PDF download page in my campaigns.
My PPC ad would be something along the lines of "Get a FREE 10 page PDF, that shows you how some of the worlds top Phychologists, would go about picking up girls"...or something similar...
That is the plan so far for this project...looking forward to hearing back from a few of you and recording my progress.

What up Oliver, congrats on posting a follow along... the PUA niche is extremely competitive and in order to have an impact there you really need a lot of social proof, and if that's not an option, then a specific niche that you are the expert in is best direction.
So saying something pretty generic like "worlds top psychologists" isn't going to get that much attention. Think about your target market a little more... they're users who are going to be signing up for Adult Dating sites, probably looking for a quick lay... so a headline that says something like: "Free 10 page PDF Shows You How ANY REGULAR GUY Can Sleep with Any Woman TONIGHT" or "Learn the EXACT Lines to get her to sleep with you TONIGHT! Free 10 Page PDF Exposes All!"
I've worked in the PUA industry and guys are far more concerned with what to say and specific lines and routines that will "easily" do x for them. Stay along those lines and you'll have better results, in my opinion.

I'll structure my PDF as ten different methods...ie Ten methods you can use to get girls to sleep with you tonight....or something along them lines.
Also Dubbsy, I will not have any social proof per se, but I plan to borrow credibility from the other peoples work I'll be referencing and re-interpreting for the adult dating market. I have managed to make a small profit from direct linking, and my thought's were that a whole website with a opt in process, should help me increase my margins and profits. Suppose the only way for me to see is to jump in and test..

the report has to be specific... more specific, mo' better.
i'm in the dating niche, been in it since almost the beginning, selling in the niche for going on 8 years now.... the pickup/dating niche is a LOT harder than ppl think.... btw... if you're getting traffic we have an offer thats killing it.

Thanks for the feedback, it's good to hear all you experienced guys essentially saying the same thing. It's definitely influencing what I am doing with my content, and how I'm structuring my site.....I think I started this website from an almost "teaching" perspective...ie we'll teach you how to get laid...and show you how to do it....But..from what everyone is saying, it seems like people out there don't want teachers, they want facilitators...ie do this and you'll get laid.
P.S I have finished all of my website content now and am just formatting and getting the web architecture in place. I have finished also finished all of the banners....www.Pixlr.com was a God-send for creating banners easily.
I am convinced that I should have everything to go, including the auto-responder / e-mail series, PDF, landing and squeeze pages by either Sunday or Monday now.
P.S What autoresponders would you guys recommend. I don't need anything to fancy, just something to send out a week long e-mail series, and capture and segment lists, and autopopulate data.

I have lagged behind...and fell at the 1st hurdle updating my follow along...but I'm going to brush of my metaphorical dusty kneecap's and attempt to update this thread with my progress every day...
So what have I been doing...
Well I have been expanding my direct linking 7search campaigns, while working through the STM 30 day guide..I have put the big dating campaign on hold for a while. I have decided to do this for a number of reasons
1) This forum is massively geared towards other traffic sources such as PPV, facebook, POF ect
2) This campaign was not playing to the strengths of this forum or the tools you STM provides..
Which is why, I decided to carry on with my direct linking, while I'm going through the 30 day introductory course..
I am still managing to scrape profit with 7search direct linking to Neverblue offers...but my biggest issue has been volume and consistency.
Since 1st January in total I've managed to generate $334 worth of commission ($165.25 of this is from direct linking, the rest is from an ongoing SEO project).
In this same time period I've spent $150.27 on 7search clicks..so in total the R.O.I over one and a half months has been 9.9%...or $14.98.
There have been some campaigns that have been a lot more successful than others, in this time I've run and stopped about 8 offers. Surprisingly my most profitable is a payday loans type offer, which is showing over 120% profit..or 2 conversions @ $38 a pop.
So partially out of encouragement and frustration with the volume on 7search, I am going to switch to PPV....
It'd be good to hear your guys objective thoughts on my plans to think if you think I'm being a dunce, or if you think there's logic to my plan.
I've been spurred on by http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...-Day-Challenge Iwantyourcoins thread and his experience below to write up this plan (pasted below) that I'm printing as we speak to stick to my desk...Do you guys think that 10 offers a week will be sufficient to get me to where I want to be?
Objective: To get to the stage of making $100 net profit per day in the period of 3 months via PPV to affiliate offers.
$100 per day will count as 7 consecutive days of making this figure “net”.
Working Plan
- I will aim to complete ten 50 minute solid working intervals each week.
- Each 50 minute interval will grant me 20 minutes of leisure time on my computer ie Facebook ect.
- Aim to set up 10 offers per week also...so the same amount as the amount of work intervals.
- So in short too check Facebook for 20 minutes I have to complete a 50 minute solid working period.
Working will be defined as “doing”...so
- Calculating R.O.I spreadsheets
- Setting up tracking
- Setting up offers
- Creating landing pages ect..
- We will also include reading through all of the steps in the 30 day e-mail series in “work time”. This should only be in the 1st week.
- Posting our progress in the forum will also included in work.
NOT TO BE DONE IN WORK TIME
- Learning
- Additional reading
- Self development
All of these tasks can be done on the 5 hours of tram journey time I have, and also in my other spare time.

So....., a bit off the track off this thread but still relevant, I hit one of my psychological milestones of my first $100 day in affiliate marketing the day before yesterday (16th February)..It was $107.70 to be exact. I achieved it through 2 of my direct linking campaigns, that I've spoken about above in this thread, and 2 conversions of one of my SEO projects.
It has really spurred me on to push hard setting up all of my PPV campaigns. I suppose, hitting that goal which has been in the back of my mind for a good few years and after hitting this, it makes me want to hit the next one ($100/day profit for 7 consecutive days running), and has definitely given me a lot more motivation to push harder.
Over the past few days I have;
Started my application with Lead Impact, and deposited $200 (I'm still waiting for the money to get into their account, so I can verify my account).
Researched 15 offers zip submits / lead applications, with Peerfly and Neverblue.
I have chosen these offers, for the brands recognition, landing pages, and their ease of conversion.
The next step is to start researching all of the demographics using Ad planner and Yahoo clues, and then start trying to think of some angles for landing page content.

I have just verified my payment with Leadimpact finally, so I can start getting campaigns up and running.
Need to finish all of the demographic work on the offers I have found, which I'll do tonight, as my girlfriends working late, so I have the whole evening free...
Closing thought...I don't want to be a corporate bigwigs bitch anymore..!!..

Just wanted to say I'm still actively doing stuff to push forward the PPV work.
- Have just finished a decent Prosper202 e-book. It was something I have never used before, so keen to make sure it's all set up right before I launch.
- I finished doing my demographic work the other day..so that's all done and dusted.
Got football today, but the whole day free for the whole day, so I will get some PPV campaigns up and running.
Progress is not as quick as I'd like it to be, but slowly getting everything in place. I was going to say something about
it being hard to find the time.....but it sounded like a bit of an excuse when I re-read it back..

- So got 3 PPV landing pages created using the "Landing Pages on Spped tutorial here"...The Pixlr Grabber is an awesome little tool.
- I have also uploaded tijn's free PPV landing page script onto one of my domains, but am having problems getting it to work properly...
I can get it to show pictures...as seen in one of tijns example landing pages below, which is housed in the script 
and on my domain here http://buy1800numbernow.com/stmtest/offertest/lp/1.jpg ...but for some reason I cannot get it to re-direct to my chosen affiliate link.
Has anyone else used this script...I am using shared hosting at the moment with JustHost, so I'm wondering if it's something to do with their server settings, as their are PHP commands in the config file, and I don't currently have Msqyl database installed on this domain. I was told by one of the developers at work, that I shouldn't need a database...but didn't want to get him to look at it as my boss' were in the office.

Wanted to explain my lack of activity on this thread and forum......I still have my $200 in leadimpact, and a further £200 in Google adwords, and around another testing budget of about £900 british pounds in the bank for this test...so my lack of activity has not been due to lack of funds.....Nor has it been time. My girlfriend works late nights a lot of time working in the theatre, in the wig and make-up department....I play football on the weekends, occasionally go out with friends drinking and socialising, and work full time...but between this I do have a lot of spare time....so the problem hasn't been time either...
It's all been about this grey matter between my ears and the self sabotage that I've been doing to myself for the past few years, literally tying my own shoelaces when I start to pick up the pace and jog in this business.
I have come to realise that my self sabotage was as a result of my upbringing....Why am I telling you this....not for pity, because my upbringing has made the hungry mofo that I am who so wants success...but at the same time I've come to realise that it's also a double edged sword.
I won't go into to much detail, otherwise it'll start to sound like one of them fucking X -Factor VT's, but needless to say I have come to realise over the past month or so that my upbringing (especially my early upbringing) completely shaped how I see the world, and my place within in.
It's kind of come to the stage when I've needed to really look inside myself to find out more..because the baffling thing for me has been that for the past 3 years I've had a very successful career in E-commerce...In fact in the last year or so I have become the most productive person in my company, driving millions of dollars of revenue via PPC traffic.........yet when I get home and try and do my own work..I struggle...and I mean really struggle to make $500 a month (that's been my best personal month).
The contrast between these 2 situations really frustrated me, lulled me into a false sense of security, and at the same time made me get real angry at myself.
I have only come to realise in the last few months that the difference between employment and my personal stuff is an "authoritative, autocratic boss" (at work), and me at home with weak sense of self and low esteem....
Anyhow for me the tide is turning, and I feel with it my fortunes will.....What has helped me massively is this book http://www.amazon.co.uk/They-You-Up-...1506397&sr=1-1
It has a number of tasks in it (5 to be exact), that have been put together by the author Oliver James, a clinical psychologist that really force you to explore who you are and why....Anyhow I'm only about half way through the exercises and it's massively helped me deal with some of the issues, that have stopped me from progressing to that next level.....
Anyhow I am posting my experience, as I'm sure there are people about there in similar positions, who are successful in their careers, but just can't translate that into personal success in business....If so it could be to do with the self image you have of yourself...which I'm personally working to change now....
