STM's TOP 1 Most Influential Person In Affiliate Marketing Industry (2010 - 2020)

Gotta hate these clickbait headlines, unfortunately I don’t know yet who’s that guy but since you already here, maybe you could drop few lines and pick your favorite.

Maybe someone who moved you in past in right direction, someone who inspired you, an authority whose opinion you value the most in affiliate marketing game.

In short what I would really like to know is; according to you, who was the most influential guy or girl in AM in the past decade?

Unbiased opinions please, if it’s possible

Question is addressed to everybody, veterans, strugglers, newcomers to all pilgrims.

Let’s narrow this to AM and let’s shill

I will passively observe this thread.

Oohhh..... too many to mention, and it's constantly evolving.

Off the top of my head... Wall Street Playboys definitely get a mention for turning me on to AM a few years back. iAmAttilla still has some great articles that filled in a lot of blanks. Ye olde warrior forums taught me a thing or two, then onto stm and it's ever growing list of experts in every AM field, vortex, matuloo, stickupkid, mr green, mr braun, cmdeal, taormina, thedudeabides, jack_i, jack01, diplomat, etc, etc, etc. @tahmmygiovanni @mahasr199 @bennydigital_ @Saint_Dici @ipd_media and a bunch more on twitter that I don't have time to look up.

And just to embarrass him, @twinaxe is my favorite right now

+1 for caurmen!

He has been and will be for quite sometime one of the most influential persons here on STM.

But wouldn’t take from the list Amy, Matej, Erik and the other mods that are always ready to jump on the rescue for everyone.

And let’s not forget about David (zeno), who besides all great guides and activity on STM, has delivered one of the best and well structured trainings about AM (6WAMC). Haven’t seen any training come even close to it till now.

Yep, many very influential members but when choosing the most influential of all, Caurmen is clearly the one.

For how many people he helped with his Cookbooks.

For how many people he helped understand tracking.

For being the heart of the STM meetups and first AWCs, bringing the stage to life.

He's also the clear record-holder for most thanks on the forum.

Hard to have anyone more deserving of "most influential member" title when looking at all those things.

Damn, so sad he is gone

Numbers never lie!

Definitely missing him around!

+1 for @caurmen

-----------------------------

Besides him I would probably nominate @maynzie for his positivity and I would also not forget @Finch who had always some great ideas and uncovered the "industry secrets" in his yearly ebook publications.

There are ton of more people, including the STM owners and people around.

Ten years is a LONG TIME in this world lol... I also think its very difficult to separate affiliate marketing from internet marketing as a whole, and I think if we are purely talking about internet marketing, I would have to say Russel Brunson... I think both he and Clickfunnels have probably had the biggest impact in mainstreaming internet entrepreneurship over the last ten years. The various guru "Don't mind my Lambo in the background" types achieve lots of notoriety while they are ascendant, but I would not call that influence.

If we are talking about STM-only then it seems obvious (Caurmen - though he was before my time).

If we are talking just within the last year... I think there's a lot of people popularizing Internet Marketing/Affiliate Marketing in a high-integrity manner, including Dan Brock, Alex Becker, Charles Gno, etc.

Also I think the folks at GiddyUp have been very 'influential' over the last year, in really verbalizing a forward-looking idea of what the industry should look like.

And then here on STM there's too many helpful folks to note, so won't even attempt a list!

+1 @vortex. Her guide on here has been pretty much the only way to make sense of the affiliate world and get started with ease. +1 for @matuloo as well, his posts are extremely helpful. And of course, +1 for @caurmen (he was before my time as well but I can clearly see the impact he has had). So +1 for vortex, matuloo and caurmen each.

So many great users here. It's good balance between people who writes / wrote so amazing guides / tips like Caurmen, Finch, Amy and people who help on a daily basics, Twinaxe, Matuloo, Erik, Amy (again).

It's really awesome community, probably didn't see such great people anywhere online

I say @vortex she def has given me great insights in the past and more recently especialy on my marketing shift.

Loz + Jordan + Besmir <--- 3 in 1.

Without them STM wouldn't have existed. Without them Affiliate World conference wouldn't have existed.

In the past 10 years they have definitely contributed a tons to the whole industry and I would definitely give them Lifetime Achievement Award if I were to host one.

Goodness! No idea how I managed to miss this thread - it's extremely humbling to see my name mentioned. Thanks so much everyone for your kind support and encouragement - lets me know I'm doing a decent job!

As for my personal favorite: Another plus for @caurmen. In spite of having been gone from the physical plane for over 2 years, he's still in the lead with the highest "thanks" count.

Plus, he's STILL consistently in top 10 for the number of thanks his posts continue to get, week on week.

Like I told him the first time we met: I almost never idolize anyone, but he was (and continues to be) my idol.

Amy

Oh wow.. I never expected someone will even think of me in such thread.. or what's even bigger, write my name in such thread. I must have done something right. Thank you very much, I appreciate it more than you can imagine.

Nice thread you started here Ivan!

Thanks to everyone who mentioned me, it really feels great! Much appreciated

To me personally, speaking about STM and it's community, it would be Caurmen again.

Great post idea!

Hugh(Caurmen) immediately came to mind for this forum, not even a hesitation. His passion for learning, helping others, and positive energy just couldn't be matched.

Can't ignore Charles Ngo either who made a lot of waves in this space. Robert Gryn as well.

The industry as a whole? Man that's a tough one. If we were just talking media buying in general I'd say compared to the rest of us mortals, Tim Burd and Depesh Mandalia are pretty firmly seated high up on Mt Olympus.

But strictly affiliate marketing? Well the whole OG STM/iStack Team comes to mind, Mr Green, Stackman, Besmir, Zeno, Matuloo, Vortex and others I'm sure I'm forgetting who helped get the ball rolling to help elevate the AM space to where it is today largely now with the Affiliate World events. It's amazing to see how this industry has grown up over the years.
