Tracking conversion on voluum
Hello everyone,
I’m getting mad with this thing.
Since I’ve started running my pop ads campaign I’ve tried to set up them into Voluum, but didn’t get how to do so.
I’ve just checked all the discussions about how to understand the tracking link, but nothing, I’m too newbie
Can someone explain me which are the steps to set up a pop ads campaign into Voluum?
I would appreciate that,
Thank you all

thanks for the attention bud,
i've just created all the "spaces" into Voluum, concerning affiliate network and traffic sources,
but when i try to create the offer and the campaign i made some mistakes that make Voluum not tracking everything.
hope you could help me step by step

Amy has this covered in her 40-day tutorial, did you read this lesson? : https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...king-on-Voluum
Usually, the tracking problems are related to either a postback setup problem or using the wrong in link at the traffic source.
Did you ask your AM to setup the postback link at the affiliate network? Did you add the clickID tag to the offer urls? Are you using the Voluum campaign link at the traffic source?

In addition to Amy's guide suggested by Matuloo, make sure to check out Caurmen's guide below (already linked on Amy's guide)
https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...-Read-This-Now
Also, I would suggest to carefully check the following:
- Tracking parameters on your offer url (basically everything set behind the '?' symbol)
- Postback URL on the network (if you're passing the right parameters back to your tracker)
If you still have issues after reading and checking the above, feel free to post some screenshots, so that we can take a look and help.

Hey Vilan996, it sounds like there is an issue with either the tracking link in your tracker and/or the postback at your affiliate network. I’d recommend sending your network account manager a message to make sure it’s set-up correctly (passing / receiving clickID in the right parameters).

First of all: Voluum charges by events. This push smartlink method requires running massive amounts of traffic to make little bits of profits. Voluum charges would, at best, seriously cut into any profits you may make with this method. At the worst, tracker costs would completely eclipse your profits.
This is a big part of the reason why I didn't include a tracker in the $1 guide.
Using a self-hosted tracker may be a viable option, but I haven't done the math on server costs and license costs, so can't tell you whether the math would work out in your favor.
I'll let you decide how to proceed from here. If you'd still like to run a test on Voluum, please let me know and I'll provide more guidance on how to set that up.
In that case, please provide as much information as you can: Give ME a step-by-step on what you've done, and I'll let you know how to fix it.

thanks for replaying amy,
platinum helped me a lot, and finally i've found the way to set up correctly the campaign.
but as you said, the cost of Voluum is higher than the profits, for now, and it cut my profits away, so i would like to ask to you, if i've chosen to run just Push notification from mobipium into pop Ads for now, is it worth to use Voluum to track my results? or is it enough the report that i get from pop ads to optimize the campaign?

You can rely on the tracking provided by popads for now, sometimes it's actually easier to optimize campaigns when you see the conversion data directly in the traffic source. But there are limitations... affiliate networks usually don't support multiple postbacks, so you can report conversions to popads but once you start using more networks, there will be a problem. A tracker also provides more details about the visits, such as device, carrier, os etc ... this makes it possible to optimize on more levels.
To put it short, you can start without a tracker but at some point, you will need to use it anyways.
But, there are more cost effective trackers than voluum... for example redtrack, which is a hosted solution too.
