Instead of ripping off landers, it is O.K. to design a similar lander after finding a winning combination of creative and lander from a spy tool? What about creative? Like designing a similar creative on canva or getstencil, instead of just ripping it off and using it as your own?
Of course it's OK
It's just a lot more work.
And you may find that it doesn't perform as well as the ripped lander.
Best bet is to rip, make small tweaks to that, and see if it works out better.
If it does, then you can have more confidence in creating your own.
It's better than ok.
Don't assume affiliate landers and creatives are anything extraordinary and that you need to copy them exactly; most are just copying from somebody else as well.
Only a small % are actually taking the time to come up with their own creative, so starting to do that early on in your journey will pay off in the long run as you get better at it.
If done right, recreating similar landers is really great, as it can turn out to be more engaging and deliver higher conversion rate.
However... if you keep it running for a few days and it turns out to be a winner. It will get ripped and copied by other affiliates pretty fast.
Experienced this many times, with a few landers I made some visual improvements to.
I’d say when starting out, just go with lander ripping, then if you want to further improve the CVR of a winning campaign, you can spend some time to tweak and polish the winning lander.
I do the same with ad creatives?
@jaybot Good idea, I guess I can do the same with ad creatives?
@thedudeabides And I do the same for ad creatives?
Fro landers, yes rip and improve.
For Ad Creatives, yeah man... do whatever you want! See what others are doing, but it's so easy to create your own, you absolutely should give it a try.
