Here is my experiment with popular local TikToker

Yoooooo guys!

I'm happy to share after a long time with you something that I believe you might find useful.

There is quite some noise around TikTok lately and I do believe on a long term it could be a great traffic source for eCom products.

Last month I literally spent a few days on TikTok just lurking and thinking how to make something useful for one on our eCom product.

I'm coming from Slovenia and even the most popular TikTokers are not earning any money.

With that in mind, I texted the most popular guy and offered him 125EUR if he make one video with our product. After he received the product, he get back to us with the video in 24h. Actually, he send me 3 videos.

The next day I've uploaded his raw video in Facebook Ads Manager and I was obvious from the beginning the ad was a winner.

This ad has only good comments and people really find it funny which is great for our brand.

In first 3 days the ad generated 50+ orders at 25% lower CPA than our average CPA in Slovenia.

Here my key takeaways from this exxperiment

The base idea was to test if TikTok humor which is very specific would work with Facebook ads.

I’m definitely satisfied with results from this experiment and I'm already looking for TikTokers from bigger EU geos to see how much can we scale with them.

Did you run any tests on TikTok? Do you think it can be huge for eCom in the upcoming months/years?

The main think I will try to figure it out now is how to do this on a scale.

TikTok will be huge IMO.

I personally like it much more than SnapChat (that I never really understood)

With TikTok it's different ... even I'm addicted and it's my new best friend on toilet. )))

Also noticed a huge influx of gurus there giving out "know how" lately.

The best thing that could happen to you will be if you will be able to create a meme around your product.

That can be massive!!!

P.S. Meme about product, can't believe I'm saying it. But yeah, it's 2020 and we talk about something as crazy as TikTok

@erikgyepes haha it was the same with me! After one week I just deleted the app because I was spending hours scrolling and laughing till crying.

If Instagram is new smoking, then TikTok is pure heroin.

On the link below is doc TikTok "case-study" published on businessinsider.com today.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...JE2O50OB4/edit

It's in doc because I don't have BI Prime but I noticed you can find HTML if you views source and then parse text from it.

This is what this guy did for us. He make a joke in his style thats very popular and other TikTokers are imitating him but he used our product in a very "native" way.

Good to see you back and nice approach you had there.

It´s always good to see people thinking a bit outside the box.

Thanks man! Yes, I believe this approach can save tons of time and money for building creatives.

Facebook advertising is every year more and more about creative development because targeting and everything else is done by the AI.

@matuloo thanks bud!

Can't complain to be honest. Took some time off work but now we are back in the Scaleship for the past 14 days.

The ad is still converting strong so we're already planning new ads.

It looks like I will receive beta access to self-served TikTok to run some camps. I will keep you posted how it goes and I will probably open FA for my first TikTok campaign.

OMG that guy in the pig costume/tshirt ... I always wondered what it takes for people to make this level of fun of themselves )) I thought it would take more than $125 bucks to publicly humiliate yourself LOL

Brilliant indeed!

The best ads are the ones that can grab people's attention, invoke some type of emotion, and entertain.
@wakeboarder You've figured out a way to achieve all three!

Will try to implement more humor into my own ads as well. Thanks so much!
