Hi,
I have a promising Campaign in SG which i would like to scale into ZP. The Problem is whenever i try to scale into ZP, the CTR, plummets down to 0.50 - 1 % where as in Propeller Ads (and ClickAdu and various other traffic sources) it would normally have something like 7-11% CTR (same lander and offer of course) - I spent 10 $ in the last 7 hours and basically made no conversion. I know this definitely is not much and i should be spending way more especially on ZeroPark, but how can i minimize the loss in the beginning or how do i even start with such a giant like ZeroPark? Do i go with the regular CPV or should i give smart eCPA a try? When targetting T2 countries, should i rather use the Premium Traffic or should i use the Standard Traffic? Whats the typical approach to ZeroPark Traffic Source Testing?
Apologize for all these newbie questions but ZP just leaves me confused
Thanks for your helps guys!
best regards
Hi @heikoo!
We definitely recommend trying rule-based optimization to save some time. Smart eCPA gives you no control over the campaign, it could work well but only if you don’t mind spending bigger amounts of money. It may take even a $1k for the algorithms to figure out how to reach and sustain your desired CPA goal.
When it comes to the type of traffic standard inventory will expose you to all sources (even the premium ones if your bid is high enough) while premium inventory will expose you to sources with the highest reputation. There is actually more money to be made in standard, as it is more scalable, but it takes more work. It also depends on what kind of offers you are running. If they require a broad audience (like for example sweeps) it would be better to go for the standard traffic but if they are more specific (e.g. gift cards) - you should try the premium traffic.
In your case, the first thing I’d to is try to increase your budget and the bid. With just $10 spent you’ve only managed to test a tiny portion of our traffic.

Hi @heikoo! Great tips from Magda. I've also left some suggestions in your follow-along.

Targeting the suggested sources first can be a great way to save moolah!

ZP is a traffic monster
This means you need to spend more in the beginning to weed out bad placements but once you got it you can scale very good there.
Because of the huge volume you can cut pretty aggressive without being afraid to have too less traffic left then.
First step would be to run BL campaigns to gather data, next step would be to run WL with proven placements.
