If you were in my shoes what would you do?

Hey Stackers ,

After going through @vortex 40 days guide, I launched some campaigns with Pop traffic.

Got some green campaigns after optimization. (Thanks @vortex for your great guide, it really gave me a solid base to start AM)

I am currently in inconsistent XX/day working on SOI offers in Sweeps vertical.

My goal was not profits in this phase, but I focused more on learning the process and trying to make my own system to follow in future campaigns.

Now I wanna go after profits as I'm doing AM full time, what are your recommendations please? Should I stay in Pop and try to launch multiple campaigns? or move to Push ? or maybe there is a better option for me?

After reading some threads in the forum, most members say that Push will get harder with the update in February.

If you were in my shoes what would you do?

Thanks in advance.

Since POP is somewhat working for you, try to squeeze more out of it first. There are definitely more sources to try, you can launch multiple campaigns etc ...

PUSH will change in Feb, but we still don't know how much It might get harder, the available volumes will likely go down ... but it can also mean less competition as some affiliates might decide to back out from it ... hard to say yet.

But anyways, you can use pretty much the same LPs for push as you're using for POP traffic... so why not launch a few campaigns there, just to see how it performs? And once we know more about the situation in Feb, you can decide whether it's worth it to dedicate more time to push or not.

No one really knows what is going to happen with push, and in the essence even if it's going to decrease a bit it's not going to happen right away, it will take some time so i would capitalize on push while it's still in it's current configuration. A lot of things that work on pop can easily work on push and can increase what you are doing, but i would also stick with pop, That's here to stay

@ayoupianist Thank you for the kind comment and I'm glad we were able to help!

I agree with the posters above regarding push - nobody knows what will happen exactly.

Google chrome updates have affected/discouraged pop traffic, but after all these updates in the last couple of years, affiliates are STILL running pop.

I'm predicting the same for push. Traffic networks and affiliates will find ways around the browser limitations.

Alternatively, if you have the budget, you can try Native. It's holding pretty stable as far as I've heard (I don't run native myself).

Or: Try Facebook or Google. Those aren't likely to go anywhere in the next few years, although changes will be inevitable.

I'm currently working on a beginner's tutorial for FB, and should be able to start posting it in a few weeks. So please stay tuned if you'd be interested.

I also heard a lot of good things about Pinterest as a traffic source. If you're the trailblazer type and want to try your hand at ecom, that could make a good choice as well.

Also: We're about to interview affiliates and networks for the "What's Working in Affiliate Marketing" guide again - it will offer lots of insight into which traffic types and verticals are doing well this year.

Subscribing to a couple of spy tools for a month and just doing 1-2 weeks of solid research can give you a lot of inspiration as well.

I wished I could point you in a more definite direction, but the truth is that there are opportunities everywhere. Best of luck no matter what you choose to do!

Thanks a lot Amy.. I see many options now.. I will take my decision based on your advice & my current budget..

Can't wait for your Facebook guide, you have such an amazing way of teaching.. I believe that it will be (like the 40day guide) a very very good one!

Thanks for the time you're putting to make these guides

I would usually suggest go for push, but as we know the changes are coming in couple of weeks, I would hold on this time with this recommendation (for now).

Looks like you have some success with pops, why not try to scale that one?

There are so many pop sources and information on STM when you search for older threads between 2014 and 2016 when pops were highly discussed. I'm sure you will find some goldmines there.

As for other soruces, you got some good recommendations, so I don't want to repeat myself.

I believe Amy's guide on FB will be amazing, so it's worth waiting for that one as well! ;-)

Thanks Eric.. Sounds like a plan!
