What will the impacts of this be on Affiliate marketing? Sorry if this is a noobie question. I'm assuming it will be very bad for many advertisers.

If you’re smart, you be quickly figuring out how to not be the 3rd party (affiliate or the network).
I predict we’ll see more full stack advertisers moving forward. They will own the offer, and generate demand/sales internally without the need for networks and affiliates. The fb and google algorithms keep getting smarter, so it’s become increasingly easy to buy ads successfully without being highly skilled.
I understand there’s an art and science to it, but a lot of ad buying on fb & google basically involves letting the algorithm do the work, anyone can do that.
The easy days are coming to an end, on the bright side, you have almost 2 years to prepare
