Hi everyone,
For those who needs to buy domains at an affordable cost, you should you look at OpenProvider
www.openprovider.com
They sell domains at a very low margin. They also have yearly subscriptions for people owning 100/200.... up to 500000 domains, which also you to buy domains at cost. For example, .xyz domains costs 0.68 USD per year, .eu 1.75 USD / .info 1.39 USD and .com 8.04 USD. They also have lots of local extensions.
I moved the 30 .com domains I had from NameCheap to them, which saves me around 150 USD per year.
How long have you been using them? Prices seem pretty similar to Namecheap already. How is their UX compared to Namecheap?
Since it looks like I have to register 5 or so domains a month, I'm definitely interested in buying cheap.
I have been with them for 2 years. I still have a few domains on NameCheap, which I need to transfer.
Prices are similar to the first year of NameCheap. But from year 2, NameCheap raises its prices when you renew. A .com on NameCheap is $8.88 1st year then $12.98 from year 2. Same for .xyz, it is $1.00 then $12.98.
UX is good. A little bit more complex, but it is aimed at people with a portfolio of domains. You can copy paste a list of 50 domains and it will automatically check availability, pricing, and let you buy all the domains you want in 3 steps.
Do they have domain privacy? If so, how much is it per domain per year? Thanks
Yes, they have domain privacy option at $0.50 / year
8.04 base price + whatever the yearly plan you select. Without a yearly subscription plan their domains are kinda expensive or I am not looking at the right price. They have SSL certs as well and those at the lowest price are almost double on what one get get them from Comodo.
Which monthly plan do you have to make the price of the .com with privacy lower than 8.85/mo? Seems Tier 1 .com price is 8.95 which is without privacy I believe. What they show me without membership and ID protect is 13.71euro
.
This is very interesting service provider thanks for sharing.
The major difference between membership levels is the quantity of domains you can have at cost price.
Without membership, a ".com" domain is 8.95 USD excluding privacy (i don't know how much they charge for privacy when not having membership plan)
With any membership, the same ".com" domain is priced at 8.04 USD excluding privacy + 0.5 USD for privacy
And then you add the cost of membership, which is the plan divided by the number of domains you have. The more domain you have, the cheapest it is per domain.
For a basis S plan at 49 € (which is 54 USD when writing) for 100 domains, you add 0.54 USD per domain if you have 100 domains. Total for a .com domain with privacy would be 8.04 + 0.5 + 0.54 = 9.08 USD year.
If you want to be below 8.85 USD / year for a .com, you would have to select a plan that costs you no more than 0.31 USD / domain (8.85 - 0.5 - 8.04), which is the basic L plan.
If you have a cheaper solution, I am interested!
