Hi guys.
First of all thanks to @vortex for the guide. It's an easy way to let newbies start start to understand how the big affiliates work.
Ok, let me try to explain what I did and which problems I found (I hope my English is good enough to be understood).
I signed up both on mobipium and on PopAds and waited for an answer from Mobipium.
I got approvation so I started my first campaign as per 1$ guide.
I asked for the most profitable Geos to Ana (my AM) and she wrote me a list of the 10 more profitable geos on push notification smartlink.
I made a mix with countries suggested by Vortex ad launched my first campaign on 16 countries.
1st problem: after my 3$ budget was spent I had a Total Revenue of around 1.14$ with 38 conversions, but the report inside PopAds didn't show the conversions.
I re-check everything and check with my AM. She told me the problem is not on Mobipium side, but on PopAds side (which is the problem?)
I burned 3$ budget for a mistake, so I launched a second campaign after removing 3 countries (BR, CO, ES) as par the guide with 4$ budget.
The 2nd problem is I got 77 conversions with a Revenue of around 0,41$ and the AM told me the problem was the quality of the traffic. I'm not able to understand why the second campaign was so different from the first one.
For example 1 conversion in the first test made in Saudi Arabia was paid 0,179$. In the same contry 5 conversions in the second campaign was paid 0$
Someone maybe can help me undestanding more about the tracking and this dropping-down of the Revenue...
Thank' a lot to everyone and I'm sorry again for my bad english
Regards
One thing you should keep present when running Smart Link campaigns, is that depending on the visitor details (e.g. Device, Connection, OS, Country) the offer the visitor could be different. That being said for different offers payouts differ as well.
Regarding the conversions that are not showing on popads, could most probably be due to a possible miss-configuration. Tracking breaks pretty easy in case you are missing the correct token format, and additional space in the link or some other typo in the postback. Share some screenshots of your tracking configuration and we can help you with that.
Also, quality issues are a common thing when running pop traffic. Just consider the sites where this traffic is coming from and the ad format itself. So whenever your AM gives you any feedback regarding poor quality, you're on the right path. You can easily kill those pubs and keep on getting traffic from the remnant ones. Don't be too much afraid of killing publishers. As you increase the bid you will progressively get access to better publishers where there's a higher competition level.
I think you're good to go with that much information (especially if you're using a tracker) and focus more on the optimization side of your campaigns.
Thank you so much @platinum.
Am not using a tracking, but I track on PopAds the traffic setting up as per the guide both Popads and Mobipium side.
Here is the popads side of tracking

Posting back to Popads is hit or miss, but luckily not necessary as long as you are using a tracker.
Oh, you're not. Well, the conversions are at least happening on mobipium, so that's the important part.
Technically, you could look at the conversion reports on mobipium and match up the zones with the traffic report from popads, but for $4 it's probably not worth your time
As for quality and $0.00000001 conversions, that's typical with smart links.
The whole idea of the guide is to get your feet wet
Now go get a tracker and start the 40 day pop guide
Hi @redfox_70! Sorry to hear you're experiencing issues.
Question for you: Did you append &tid=[IMPRESSIONID] to the end of your affiliate link, when adding it as a destination url when creating the popads campaign?
Also: After saving the postback into Mobipium, you may need to wait a few hours for the settings to take effect. It would be good to ask your AM to confirm directly that the postback has registered in their system.
Other than that: Please follow every step one more time to ensure everything is set up correctly.
As for getting different results: Pop traffic performance is volatile - it's the nature of the game. There are good days and bad days, and it's also typical for the initial burst of traffic to convert better than subsequent traffic.
That $1 guide only serves as a primer to the 40-day tutorial mentioned by @jaybot, which will provide a good introduction into how to run pop traffic. After completing that tutorial, you'll have the option of a)continuing to run pop, or b)learning other paid traffic types which are similar such as push or native.
I'm also in the process of writing a beginner's FB tutorial - so if you'd be interested in learning social traffic, please stay tuned!
The goal of the $1 guide is to help take you through setting up your very 1st paid traffic campaign for cheap and in a step-by-step manner. To get a first taste of what running paid traffic is like. Although a number of affiliates did make their first profits with this guide - which was very nice - I would not suggest to keep running that push smartlink on popads for too long. Reasons being:
1)With the masses of affiliates that have bought and executed the $1 guide, that push smartlink on popads has reached saturation.
2)This method requires running a TON of impressions to make tiny profits. It's just not worth pursuing if you're in affiliate marketing to make money to supplement/replace your income.
Hope that helps! And thanks for giving the $1 guide a try!
Amy
Thank you @vortex.
