Anyone tried GDN with success? (8)

Anyone tried GDN with success?

A lot of people promoting CPA offers on Google & Bing nowadays with success, as there is high purchase intent. However GDN has some targeting that comes close to this.

GDN in-market & custom intent can show display ads to users that have recently searched for particular keywords, even brand ones. Google knows what people have been searching for. I am keen to try this for some MaxBounty offers that are popular and have high brand search volumes. Even if brand searching is not allowed on their terms, this can be achieved via these GDN methods, so the audience will be highly targeted. Thoughts?

I bought tons of traffic from GDN, it used to work wonders with generic app installs couple years ago, for example.

I also used it successfully for local eCommerce stores, but it took quite a bit of placements cutting, especially when running app traffic, some of it is pretty much useless.

It worked well for certain branding campaigns that Ive managed too and we also bought tons of clicks for projects that we wanted to get going... for example price comparison portals.

So to sum it up, based on my experience, GDN can work well if you focus on the right placements or use very broad appeal offers or need quality traffic to feed some project.

I think that GDN can work very well for lead generation, according to the experience with my clients. It would be interesting to do a test with white hat lead generation offers. Do you know any affiliate network specialized in it?

Most networks have a mix of offers, some are BH, some grey, some white ... depends on the particular offer and also on the source where you want to promote it.

What is accepted on push networks, might be considered blackhat by facebook or google.

When talking about the biggest traffic networks - google, FB ... whitehat offers are those that offer real value to the users, in terms of leadgen it would be services that the people actually want to use. So for example solar, real estate, valuable info products, mortage etc ... I'm not sure what maxbounty has on offer right now, but I guess they should have some whitehat offers too. You'll have to ask your AM.

The beauty of GDN is once you have about 50 conversions you can then pay per conversion thus guaranteeing you sales at x CPA that works great as you have no chance to lose money

I like Max Bounty a lot and they have a good mix of offers across the spectrum... literally every type of offer I've heard discussed here on STM they have.

I don't do as much volume with them as with a couple other, more niche-type networks, but I think they're a fantastic network for folks to get started with.
