What is the basic software need for effective media buying ?

Tracking ? Spying ? hosting, etc.....

Depends on the media being bought. FB vs Native vs Push vs Pops vs ecom.

What I’d recommend you is to start with a research of different affiliate programs and products. It’s a significant step, as based on it you’re going to build your complex strategy. Keep in mind that every vertical has its own rights eg. usually native ads work great for nutra, whereas pop or push are a good choice for sweepstakes. Moreover, in the very beginning I’d recommend you to start with a software like DSP, as in this way you can test and manage different traffic sources in one dashboard. Like that you can easily see what works best for your offers. Besides, Voluum DSP and many other DSPs offer Account Management support. That’s also really useful at the start, as it’s always better to have an expert on your side. Of course, with the time, when you’ll get more experience and higher budget you may want to switch to running your ads directly.
