Reaching the 100k benchmark with a niche product through internet?

Hi. I want to create an infoproduct focused mainly on meditation for the English market and basically sell it through clickbank.

I'm sure I can create something which people will value and I'm sure there is enough market for it, but I still have have some unknowns which I don't know how to deal with. Here are them:

1) Pricing... I thought about creating a low-tier offer ($37) , but I've listened to some gurus insisting that it's hard to make it work nowdays info products with low price math wise. True or false? Do you think high ticket pricing is a necessity for success in the info market?

2) Targeting... This is a total dilemma for me... I'm really not sure how to reach my market cost effectively... If it was up to you to take a guess, which traffic sources/targeting would seem the most logical for this kind of offer?

I would love to hear opinions on pricing/targeting of info products...

Thanks!

When I design a service or product, I usually start with the question : how can I provide as much value as possible to a potential client? Then benchmarking to leads to see how much they are ready to pay for what I have (the product does not need to be finished, only the plan and 1-2 first parts). To do so, you can read The Mom Test, to see if you have a market.

You seems to be more focused on the pricing, ie making money, than providing value. That usually ends up in low quality products that do not sell.

Maybe you could build a list of 500-1000 prospects by promoting other meditations products (to offset some of your marketing cost), then send them a survey about what their problems are, and why they medidate. Going on meditation forums could also be interesting.
