Recommend me your favorite book on leadership and managing people. Looking for books in empathetic style of leadership than power style. Also, any recommendations on buying Harvard Business Review (HBR) subscription?
Entreleadership by Dave Ramsey.
The One Minute Manager by Blanchard and Johnson.
Both incredible books - 10/10 stars.
I was literally just looking for something like this too. Heard people say good things on "Scaling Up by Verne Harnish" (never read it yet myself though)
Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willink

The absolute best for me - The art of action by Stephen Bungay
Takes the principles of Von Moltke and applies them to business.
Provides a very helpful framework and is highish level, so not a how-to book
Directed opportunism is the key element, which I like a lot.
Read scaling up, but that's a business framework, not just a leadership book. Very good, but not just leadership
I'd recommend anything by John C. Maxwell to you.
My favorite Maxwell book to start people on is "The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership," and then after you read that I'd recommend "The 5 Levels of Leadership."
Scaling Up by Verne Harnish is good. I've followed the principles I learned in his first book, "The Rockafeller Habits", for over a decade and Scaling up is an updated version of this.
