I know everyone raves about Limelight, but I'm just curious what other options are out there and what people are saying. Anyone have experience they'd like to share?
I've searched a bunch of forums but not that much real data going on:
My to look at list looks like:
Limelight
BnBng
Span6 - anyone used this??
m57 - under the radar, sent an email, anyone heard/know of them?
Transgrade - no one gets back to me
OrangeCRM - 2009, no?
bump... interested in this too...
Just to reiterate what you've said already, I know a few guys using LL and they wouldn't even think about looking at anything else. But then again at the price they charge it ought to be the shizzle!!!
I'm all up for hearing what others think as well though
I use Limelight and am extremely pleased with the CRM system...its very powerful and has a ton of bells and whistles...have been using it for 3 months now, but am still to scratch the surface on the features...
Plus, Rick and team constantly keep adding more features, increasing to the automation capabilities of LimeLight. As an advertiser, it really saves me a lot of time since I don't have to mess around trying to pass data from one point to another..
BigBang is also a kick ass system...and I really like Big Bang. Features-wise, it compares to LL. But what I don't like about Big Bang is the 25 cent per transaction charge. If you are going to do a ton of volume (and if you are not, then any CRM is a waste of money), it starts to add up very very fast, since everything - trial, rebill, chargeback, refund etc counts as a transaction. So, end of the day, it will actually cost you more than Limelight..
Feel free to PM me if you have any specific q's about LL
Thumbs up for LL. Beyond the platform, Rick is a great resource and really brings a lot to the table.
any link for BingBang? also I've heard span6 and also M57... I am very familiar w/chargify and I agreed the issue w/LL for me right now it's the upfront + $800 month fee... don't get me wrong I spend a lot more on other tools just a cloaker alone, I just don't see what they offer that can't be done with custom programming for something which ultimately you have control in house..
I have my own merchant accounts and finishing up my own gateway which is important to see more data than running through auth.net I'll probably end up custom coding something
Custom.

ya i'm in a unique position as I already have a Sas70 audit done and an auditor as partner including a PCI-Level 1 certified hosting environment in our office. The c/c gateway has to be updated but I can still use in interim auth.net I also have the merchant accounts which leads me to believe the best way forward is custom.
thanks for the suggestions gents..
just to update this thread
BNBNG bit the bucket I think.
Right now we're using UltraCart, it fits pretty well (and much cheaper), there are somethings that I think the newer CRMs are probably better at.
Things must have changed, because they used to be TERRIBLE!
For our purposes they're pretty good. We use it as a backend and custom API our payment pages over to them..
Limelight FTW.
Rick and his team are excellent..... You'll pay a ton extra configuring most other CRM's to get anywhere near how you want them.
Limelight will generally do most things for the direct response/CPA guy right out of the box.... super plug 'n' play.
Anyone use office autoPilot? Dont laugh, i only ask because ive heard of a few guys moving from LL to OAP. I know it has great email tagging and followup, but im not sure if it has fraud tracking and such like ll.
My big question with LimeLight is are they PCI tier 1 or does everyone just use them and not care/worry?
Yes their Limelight gateway is PCI 1 level certified or alternatively you can use any of the 25+ other gateways that are already integrated with Limelight (most of which are PCI Level 1 as well). Whatever you prefer.
