Follow-along: Following the 1$ guide - my journey (7)

I'm already following the 40 days tutorial (you can find my follow-along here: 2000$ and 3 months to make some profit – my journey) and today I decided to also buy the 1$ guide to speed up my learning.

Update after 2 days:
- the guide is really easy to follow. Thanks for writing it!
- I launched the first campaign following the tutorial. It was slighly profitable
- I launched the second campaign after cutting a couple of geos. Slightly profitable again
- I'm running the third campaign and I'm trying to understand how to scale it using Voluum and other traffic sources.

Questions:
Mobipium offers URL structure are different from clickdealer and Advidi (the networks I was using till now). Previously I was adding parameters to the offer URL like that on clickdealer https://securecloud-smart.com/?a=1234&c=5678&s2={clickid}&s3={trafficsource.id}&s4={campaign.i d}

Is it correct to add parameters like in the following example with mobipium?

https://12345.catchtheclick.com/?mob=6789-12345&s2={clickid}&s3={trafficsource.id}&s4={campaign.i d}

My AM suggested me to add the following parameters but I'm not sure if it is correct with Voluum: &tid={your_click_id}&subid={your_publisherID}

I'm back after a long end of the year break.
I'm implementing this tutorial using Voluum to better understand how the configuration works and to try to scale it better. I'll keep you posted!

Hi @barbarollo! I would suggest to just go ahead with the 40-day tutorial, for 2 reasons:

1)Although the $1 guide is the absolute easiest and cheapest way introduce a complete newbie to paid traffic, profits can be limited. Using landing pages and tracking is almost mandatory if you're wanting to get better results (I mean when you're promoting typical offers, not referring to the push smartlink). The $1 guide's main purpose is to help people set up their 1st campaign, not provide comprehensive training. Going from the 40-day tutorial to the $1 guide would be a major step backwards.

2)The push smartlink has extremely small payouts of a few cents each, and requires running a TON of impressions in order to make that little bit of money. It's not half bad when you're NOT using a tracker, but if you DO use a tracker, especially something like Voluum which charges by event, tracker costs would offset any small profits you'd be making.

Of course, feel free to experiment however you like - I just wanted to give you a heads up.
