Reddit Traffic Ring (organic 200k views/day)

Reddit is actually the Front Page of the Internet. If you post something there, and it goes viral (meaning, you get a ton of UPVOTES to a post), you end up on the first page of this site, this means that you will receive millions of organic views a quarter.

But you can not truly embark on Reddit, post, and count on magical traffic.
To succeed, you want numerous things:
1. Very engaging post with tons of value
2. Upvotes
3. Link Karma

Today I want to start forming a Reddit Upvote Ring.

The idea is to make a Skype group (500 people ideally) - the aim of the group is that every time a person posts a Reddit link, everyone will UPVOTE that link immediately. End result? Massive Virality.

For those who are interested, post here the details of your Skype profile.

Then you will be added.

Members are obliged:
1. To post the reddit links they want to be upvoted
2. To upvote links posted by others
3. To keep the group secret and private. Leaking this out to the public will destroy its effectiveness and result in ban by reddit on all the members.
4. And for more power- to COMMENT on the posts upvoted.
5. And for crazy power-- to UPVOTE on comments by members.

I own/mod a few subs in the make money online genre, and would be down for this.

Seems like a recipe for disaster. My friend did something similar a few years ago. He created a SaaS web app that allows you to connect your reddit account and upvote each other's posts. It worked initially but all the accounts associated with that system got banned after a few days.

That was years ago. Now reddit uses machine learning algorithms to detect fake upvotes. My friend used reddit API and i think that's why it got detected easily.

I don't want to discourage you but you should be careful. I'm assuming you all are going to upvote/comment manually like a real user so it's going to be less risky but it can still trigger their fraud detection algorithms.

Good luck!

Thank you for your insights,
Years ago it was possible to easily create account farms on Reddit and start automatically upvoting via software. Needless to say, the party was very short.

However, if things are done manually, it is very hard to detect.
During this year I ranked several posts on Reddit and Medium, using micro job networks.

In the case of the group, every post will be upvoted manually, thus preventing our accounts being detected.

Most of the accounts will be aged and with good karma

Group members who will join with new accounts will be encouraged
1) To get some karma
2) To post at least 50 or more comments on Reddit
3) To wait for one month before posting their links and upvoting

If you keep on doing this with a limited amount of accounts, it will get detected pretty soon and you will all get banned. Not everyone from the group will participate, it's always the case... in the end, it will be a couple dozens or a 100 accounts all upvoting the same posts over and over, that's very easy for any half-decent platform to detect.

I'd be really surprised if this survived longer than a few weeks.

Have any of you guys got some success with reddit marketing? If so, can you share some resources?
