My Vision Board (1)
Hey! I'm new to the forum and want to jump in and get involved in the community.
So, what better place to start than a vision board! (At least I have the skills and knowledge to complete that).
This is my absolute dream scenario. If I achieved anything anywhere near this it would make me immensely happy. I know how hard it would be achieve these goals, but hey, it's a dream wishlist right?
1)What are your career goals?
I'm working from home. Earning $100k a year. I'm successful and knowledgeable in AM and I help others who are new to AM. I'm always having fun learning new things and at the forefront of changes and trends in AM.
I have passive investments that mean I will never have basic money worries again. Such as a large index fund / other investments.
I attend conferences meet lots of nice people and made new friends in the industry. I've been invited to speak at a conference to share my knowledge.
I have leveled up my knowledge and (finally) have excellent skills in front end web development and I design and develop my own landing pages.
2)What are your relationship goals?
Me and my wife are having a great time together, free of the stress of money worries that sometimes get us down. We have plenty of free time to spend together and we travel and have fun like we used to. My children are happy and I have time to spend with them, I can afford everything they need without worrying about money.
3)What are your health goals?
I have enough time to go to the gym/workout at home like I used to. Do a sports when I want and keep fit and healthy like I enjoy being. I clean up my diet completely and have time to cook healthy meals from scratch at home again for me and my family.
4)What do you SEE Yourself doing on a typical day?
Wake up early, (I'm a morning person). I have time to do my fitness stuff that I love. Spend time with my kids and my wife in between working. (We have time to have lunch together as a family for example). I have an office in my house with a beautiful countryside view.
On my days off I'd like to do my favourite hobbies, like seeing friends, backpacking/hiking, surfing and Airsoft. Id also spend time having fun with my wife and kids.
Sometimes I'd Take the family down to Devon/Cornwall (I'm from the UK) and hire an Airbnb for a week or so (or visit our own Cornish cottage if I'm really dreaming) near a nice Surf beach. Then I could work and surf and my family could enjoy the countryside and the beach.
Other days I'd like to spend it with the rest of our extended family. Visiting them and letting my kids run around and have fun.
I'd also like to regularly support, donate to and volunteer at a local charity
As for a car, I'd like a VW transporter, please!
5)If you had an unlimited amount of money, what kinds of material things would you buy?
We own our house, it's in the countryside near to where we live now. It's got some age and character to it. It's near a forest or a good hiking area so I can take walks from my door.
We are well off enough to not have to worry about money as much. We take regular holidays around the UK, Europe and the world, so I can surf and we can experience different cultures as a family.
We own another house in a beautiful Cornish/Devon village, near or ideally overlooking a beach which has good surf for me. We regularly visit it and the kids enjoy playing on the beach.
We have a jacuzzi in our backyard so me and the wife can relax at the end of the day and watch the stars.
