Question on LP for Cams

Hi Guys.
I am trying to follow Amy's 40day guide. Currently I am stuck with understanding what kind of LP's are used for cams offers? Adplexity adult shows a lot of direct linking on the banners.
Since direct linking is not working in most cases, what should I reflect in the LP for cam offer? How it should be better than simple direct linking to offer page.

Hello

Cams are promoted via directlinks quite a lot, but it's mostly the cam site owners doing mediabuys themselves.

But it can work for an affiliate too, but you need to work with a platform that offers solid customization. The standard way of doing this is to make ads/banners using the images of a specific cam model, then you link to her pre-recorded show on the platform.

Another option is to use niches, so let's say some fetish like latex... you find some cam girls that do this on the platform you promote, take their pics, create a "gallery style banner" and then link it to the listing of such models on the cam site.

In order for directlink to work, you need to either find the right girl that the users simple cannot resist or select a niche that's rare or very enticing for a large part of the audience.

The more typical affiliate campaign utilize a different approach though. I see 2 "angles" being used the most.

1. hack to get free liveshows - most platforms offer some bonus for those who register... free credits for private shows, for example. The LPs utilize this and sell it as a special bonus or a secret hack. The LP would outline all the registration steps, claiming that it's a secret sequence and the only way to get the bonus. Alternatively, it's promoted as a one-time promo that won't last.

2. dating angle - the LP is similar to a dating LP, but focuses on a single female that the users can actually talk to on a cam/chat platform. Some LPs use chatbots to simulate activity, making it look like a particular girl is talking to the users, inviting them into a cam/chat platform to take the discussion further or to send them nude pics etc ...

There are a few more approaches, for example using shocking over the edge style of content, very hardcore or weird imagery ... something to get the attention of season surfers who've seen it all before.

You can also try to send traffic to a "wall of models" instead of a custom landing page, so basically a list of cam girls sorted by either their looks or what they do.

Of course there are many other angles you can use, get creative

@matuloo
Thanks for an answer! Now it is way more clear on what to dive into.
What about traffic sources, is it a good idea to buy traffic at the major Tube sites?
Or should i try some other sources?

Tube traffic is not the best converting in the world, but if you want volumes, there is no other choice but to run it Its possible to make it work, so why not give it a go

You can also try email clicks or members area traffic ... way lower volumes, but better overall quality.

Adult push traffic could work well too, the nature of the ads make it quite easy to use the dating/chat angle... not sure about the quality, I didn't test it for cams, but for dating it's pretty much hit or miss. But the clicks are cheap, so worth a try too.

You can also try native traffic, several networks have it... but again, large part will be from tubes.

Waste majority of adult traffic is on the tubes these days, so the options are limited.

I tried to test couple of offers/landers/banners. But it seems I have a traffic bottleneck.
For some reason my traffic source (Trafficjunky) doesn't give me enough traffic.
I picked a big GEO, which shows like 100000 views per placement is availble. I don't know how much should I bid. But I tried different bids in 0.1-0.3 range. And still got like 1000 views in the end.
1. Should I bid higher up-to 3$ CPM? Is there a way to know what is the current optimal bid in TJ like in propellerads for example.
2. I use broad KW targeting (30 popular KW's). Is it a good thing to use, or should I remove that? I don't use any other targeting except KW's / GEO / Device.

If its a big geo, it looks like the keyword are the one limiting your traffic. The available views considers all traffic coming from the placements.

In my experience running keywords, increasing the bids can increase your traffic but not by much.

You can remove the keyword targeting but as @matuloo said, you can receive trafic from many tube sites which will not convert.

The KW targeting will limit your volume a lot on TJ, I wouldn't do that in case you want to receive any significant volume.

TJ is already selling lots of their traffic out of the bidding platform, so it's harder to get volume there already and if you stick to KW targeting, it will go down even more.

The balance on your account and daily budget also influence the volumes, the lower it is, the lower the impressions will be.
