In this THREAD @miprat asked about running Crypto on Push traffic so I thought I will post a short case study about some campaigns I ran few months ago.
I have to say that Crypto is by far not my main vertical but I ran quite some Crypto traffic on Pops already.
On Push traffic I didn´t have any experience at all with Crypto offers when something caught my attention.
In an email newsletter from one of my affiliate networks I saw a Crypto offer with more than $50 EPC.
First I thought that sounds too good to be true but the offer was for Sweden and usually Nordics are showing good performance for Crypto so I was triggered and wanted to give it a try.
First I thought about landers that I could use.
The offer converted on FTD so I decided to try it with advertorials that are also used on Native traffic.
I went to Adplexity Native, selected Sweden as country and as keyword I used "bitcoin" on the landingpage.
Then I just downloaded excatly ONE landingpage.

No celebrities, no copyright issues or anything.
In the end it´s a rather boring looking landing page but I just wanted to get traffic running ASAP so I took it.
Next thing was about creatives.
I had no idea what kind of creatives I could use for Crypto on Push so I just borrowed the creatives from Native traffic as well.
I didn´t splittest titles or description, I only used this
Title: 📈 Bitcoin är tillbaka (Bitcoin is back)
Description: Investeringen På 250 € Som Gör Folk Rika (The investment of € 250 That Makes People Rich)
As icons I just used message icons and ONE big image.

Then I needed the traffic and I decided to test it on Propeller Ads because I know the platform pretty good from running Pops so I thought it can´t be bad to test their Push traffic for the Crypto offer as well.
I chose ALL user activity (something I wouldn´t do nowadays), I targeted only desktop traffic and for browser language I chose Swedish.
Now I just started the campaign and was curious to see how it performs.
To be honest, I didn´t expect much and it was only a small and quick created side project.
But then after only about $2 adspend I already had the first conversion = FTD = $550 revenue
Man, that was crazy.
I double and triple checked but yes, it really was a FTD for $550 payout.
Immediately I took the campaign and ran it on Megapush as well.
Same landing page, same creative, same experience.
Only few Dollar adspend and the first conversion.
In only 3 days this offer made $4.95k revenue that resulted in about $4.6k profit

I also tested different images for the creatives like these ones

But the cash girl was the best one.
Unluckily the offer only converted good in 3 days.
I tried to keep it running but didn´t get any more FTD so I stopped the campaigns.
With my knowledge about Push traffic that I have today I would probably make 5 or 10 times when I would have such a good converting offer again.
But you can see, I had absolutely no experience running Crypto on Push traffic, I just took the first best lander I could download from Adplexity and also used a Native creative for it but it worked.
In the end this campaign has not much to do with professional media buying or whatever but I don´t care as long as it makes money.
Probably I also wouldn´t recommend beginners to do such stuff because you can also lose much money on these random things.
I guess in the end the success was caused by a mix of good opportunity, my longtime experience that let me spot a good chance and a bit of luck as well.
Sometimes when few lucky factors come together you can find such golden nuggets.
Apart from that I wouldn´t recommend anyone to start Crypto with FTP offers with payouts up to $800.
Better first start with CPL offers to get the feet warma nd learn about the traffic and how to run it.
When you see that you generate FTDs from your traffic you can still switch to it.
That way you can test more for less money and don´t risk to lose too much in case it doesn´t work.
I hope you enjoyed the little case study, I am working on new ones already so that I hopefully can post some more for you soon.
Cool case study
It shows that sometimes you just have to be in the right place , in the right time. I remember my one of first campaign on Push which was pretty similar (in terms of converting, not profits hah). One LP, one ad, one offer and it worked without any optimization.
I'm actually getting into crypto right now, finally.. so it's nice to see that people are able to get it work. Good job!
Which push networks are good to start?
Great share, thx!
That's some sick stats bro, nice work
Hi @twinaxe and thanks for this great post, I just want to try my firts crypto offer, it will be very helpful for me

Thank you! This is very helpfuly for all of us!
Hot damn sir! You're on another level! Thanks for sharing.
Wow, very nice case study, thanks for sharing
I remember reading the quick summary of this on your blog (also a great place to check out!) and now you share with us the details, very nice!
I recently wanted to try crypto based on a solid tip from a traffic source, but my main network isn't running that particular offer, so I passed on it... now I'm thinking I go with my backup network just to test it out
Buddy - you are just on FIRE lately!!
That kind of ROI would leave ANYONE drooling!
Guys - twinaxe is a real deal! There aren't many people like him. Most people feel the need to keep their edge by keeping their methods a secret - and 100% understandably so. But once in a while you see someone who is truly selfless, that takes joy in helping people succeed - and twinaxe is one of those very rare people.
I would recommend friending him to get notified of all his posts!!
Amy
Oh wow, that's some ROI! Thanks for the generous share twinaxe, glad to have you on the mod team
I don't think it's true
Thanks for sharing, very inspiring. Quick question: On which daily budgets where your campaigns running?
What is a low budget for twinaxe though?
$100/day per camp?
A lot of newbies (myself included) think low budget can be $10-20 a day
No, it was a real low budget.
On Megapush you can´t set a daily budget anyway, just a total limit.
I set it low as well because often it´s hard to control Megapush traffic because lack of targeting options so I better went safe.
On Propeller the daily budget was about $30 or $40 as far as I remember.
But with my tight (and probably suboptimal) targeting and the bids I didn´t spend much anyway.
As I said before, would I find such a campaign now again I would milk it much harder.
$30-40 on Propeller with that kind of ROI makes me want to cry
Megapush I will only try again when I have an extra $1k lying around that I want to set on fire
Yes, that ROI was extremely good.
But really, this was like a one of a kind campaign.
As I already said above, it had nothing to do with REAL media buying or whatever.
It was just a lucky hit.
Hi @twinaxe Thanks so much for the content!! Could you suggest any affiliate network that has good crpyto offers?
Crypto isn't my main vertical at all but as far as I know Clickdealer has some good crypto offers.

To your eyes, what would be different if you ran this offer with the knowledge you have about Push now?
Didn't notice that.
Or other traffic types as well?
