Scaling Pop in South Africa (ZA) - Any recommendations for other sources? (13)

Hey pop traffic pros!

Any other pop sources with reasonable volume of South Africa traffic that I should give a try? I'm looking to further scale a Pop campaign further and I've tried the following with varying success.
- Zeropark
- PopAds
- PropellerAds
- Adcash
- Clickadu
- ExoClick

First time scaling pop to a larger extent so wanna try new sources and wondering if there are any other less common pop sources that are worth giving a shot.

Try Advertizer (CPC) which is a mix of pops & redirects - we don't do much advertising and are relatively unknown outside of the userbase on Monetizer.

You should try our Push inventory too (all direct) - we have some high-quality ZA traffic there based on the bidding wars i'm seeing.

ZA. I fucking hate/love that geo so much

Propeller and PopAds are solid for ZA.
ZP is hit or miss.
ClickAdu is OK.
Adsterra is pretty good once optimized.
Hilltopads is good, but you gotta cut placements aggressively.
Had some luck with PopCash awhile back, but you'll really need a broad offer to make it work (3G only carrier offer not going to happen).

I really want to try ComeAds (now diablo.click?), I know they have good US traffic, not sure about ZA.

I have not had luck with admaven or plugrush in ZA. Although, if it's adult/dating, plug rush might work

Depending on the offer you could try and scale on push also I think it's very well worth a shot to test that if you already have winning funnel. But can't say for sure not knowing vertical and other details.

I also recommend to test Hilltop Ads, Adsterra and Popcash.

I feel ya it's been a rollercoaster! I've certainly learned a lot though these last couple months with it!

I have scaled to push but not significantly, I've made the the mistake in the past of moving too quickly trying to scale from pop to push without committing the time to test enough banners so just being mindful of balancing my available time with how best to scale given my fairly limited experience with push. Will look into expanding on this more, too.

Also of note regarding ZP. I've historically, not found much success with this source using sweeps in GEOs such as TH, MY, KE, SG and other ZA offers. I've found optimizing on this source somewhat difficult.

But with this latest offer I've found that has been converting well on other sources I gave the ZP smart eCPA automatic campaign optimization a try for the first time and after a couple attempts at different target eCPA it optimized and has been quite successful. This is my results that last 7 days, pretty solid given very minimal time committed to it.



Thought I'd share my experience with smart eCPA on ZP, haven't seen it mentioned much around here I believe. My tip would be to make sure you have a solid proven lander before attempting this and pick a fairly conservative target eCPA at first.

Thank you! I never see it mentioned either. Everyone gets scared of the high minimum test budget, $2-300 last I checked...? Looks different now, has a slider for tight/high budget type now... Shit, I may give it a shot.

When you say conservative, you mean ~80% eCPA? I've found that to be the best to start with on most platforms.

Yeah I went with a 70% of payout for eCPA and with the 'Moderate' test budget setting. You definitely have to be patient and have some confidence with a proven offer/lander.
