Finding Pop Targets (ZP)

Anybody have a simple way to find pop targets? I'm just starting out with ZP and don't exactly have a "system" for this yet, have been winging it the whole time. The Zero Park traffic/keyword tool is cool, but it seems a bit limited and I'm not finding a lot of volume that way.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

ZP pops is tough. I still suck at it honestly. Except in a few geos.

There are two ways I've found that work, and they essentially end up at the same place. Neither is better that I've found. As usual, test, and see if your results differ.

A) Start a Premium/Select/Standard RON campaign in the geo you're going for at the average bid.

1. Cut targets at 1/2 or 1x the CPA and cut sources at 1x or 2x the CPA with no conversions.

2. Do that until you have some good conversions and see which targets are working out. Then you can spin off into a source or target camp.

B) Ask ZP support (or traffic rep) for a whitelist of sources/bids in the target geo/platform/category you're doing.

Use the sources and bids in a RON or source campaign. With a grain of salt. They usually give way higher bids than necessary, but the sources are usually good.

Adjust as necessary and do 1 and 2 from above.

That should get you started

What do you mean by how to find Pop targets on ZP?

Do you mean finding good and bad placements when running campaigns or do you mean finding out about websites who have ZP pops?

Hey @david raybould

As @jaybot said if you write into our support team they will be happy to get you started with a whitelist of sources based on the vertical that you are running. We give sources not targets as targets are the individual URL's and tend to have limited traffic and a shorter shelf life then the targets. The best way to generate a target campaign is to run a successful RON, Keyword or Source campaign, then take the targets from this campaign to start the new one.

If by "targets" you mean "Keywords" on pop the best kind of keyword is "thesitename.com" on broad targeting, as this will open you up to the most traffic related to this site.

Hope this helps.
