Hello Guo,

have a look at this thread:

https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...Live-Campaigns

Basically what caurmen describes is often referred to as "honeypot trap" and it is an invisible click element for a real user only a bot could click it. So you can detect the clicks and know for sure these are bots.

Other than that there of course many 3rd party paid services. But in my humble opinion this is one of the best tells for bots and it is completely free.

Also you should keep in mind that bots are just part of the game and as long as you are profitable it would not make sense to cut a placement just because you detect a few bots - as long as you are profitable.

Hope that helps.

Cheers

Gerd

What angelus_1984 said.

Really, I NEVER run bot tests in my campaigns.

When a placements is profitable then it's profitable.

When a placement is not profitable then it isn't.

But I don't judge it by % of bots, I only judge the placements by their real performance.

Sometimes you can have placements with high bot % that are very profitable nonetheless.

On the other hand you can have placements with 0% bots and absolutely bad performance.

Also take care that you don't focus too much on hunting bots, it only takes time that you could also spend on your campaign.

When testing a new camp, I usually just gauge based on CTR, which totally depends on the geo, then the lander.

Run a small test to collect enough data, then sort by visits and compare the CTR for all the zones.

CTR that is way too high (70-100+%) or way too low (0-0.8%) compared to most of the others is usually bots.

But, as twinaxe says, even if it's has bots, if it still converts and has profit: no big deal
