You can run it with a meta redirect through your own domain, but it's most prolly just gonna get you blank referer. It depends on your traffic route.

Yup, double meta refresh will help somewhat, but it's not a bullet proof method so it's not a 100% solution.

On top of that, such traffic might look suspicious to the advertiser.

I have successfully ran an automatic redirect via a Wordpress Blog.

In which case you would need to have a blog setup with relevant content. Then all your traffic passes through the WP site via a redirect and the WP Site turns into your referrer. This will obviously slow down the time the user takes to get to the final destination.

In saying this, if you are running any sort of volume all it will take is someone to look up your domain on similarweb.com and they will see all the traffic is coming in via adult sources.

Your best best and easiest way is to use double meta refresh and I would also insure it with:

HTML Code:
<meta name="referrer" content="no-referrer">
and:

HTML Code:
<a href="yourlink.com" rel="noreferrer">click here</a>

More advanced techniques would include cloaking your landing page or using a page / script in the middle, like recommended above, though using WordPress is a bit of an overload

I am looking into the Double Meta Refresh (DMR) redirect, which according to what I have been able to read in various posts, is the way to go to hide the traffic source from the network. I see that Voluum still have this mode: https://doc.Voluum.com/en/redirect_modes.html

I want to know if this still holds true. Indeed, since HTTPS came into force in 2015, the referrer is by default not transmited, and one could request the browser to do it or not with the referrer META markup. I already have the markup mentioned by @erikgyepes in the landing

So far I have:

1) user click on an ad
2) goes through my tracker and then to the pre-sale landing page.
3) user converts on the lander. Conversion is recorded through the tracker and then the user is sent to the affiliate network lander

As I have the no-referrer META markup on my landing, I don't see why using a DMR helps.

Am I missing something?

Thanks!
