Why Sometimes Our Campaings Simply Die?

Why Sometimes Our Campaings Simply Die?

Hello friends of STM. It is a pleasure to contact you again and talk a little.

I started this post in order to be able to talk and shed some light on the different perceptions we have of affiliates regarding the performance of our campaigns and why they often seem to simply die and cease to be profitable.

I am going to comment on my case regarding a particular campaign as detailed as possible so that you can understand my conclusions, and I would also like to know your experiences and the conclusions that you have been able to obtain on this subject.

Let's start:

About 2 and a half months ago I started testing an AdCombo campaign for Latam in the Health And Beauty vertical. I chose Propellerads as a Fraffic source, since their way of working is very comfortable and convenient for me, and I know from my own experience that they have a fairly good quality traffic without bots present. (I know this because I use the Voluum AFK)

The campaign started very well. While the CTR of my ads never exceeded 1%, the volume of clicks on my landers was very decent and exceeded 12%.

Conversions were not long in coming, and during the first weeks my ROI was 255%. I was happy!!

Once enough data was obtained I set out to optimize the campaign. I used Geos segmentation (I always test the campaign in the 4 economically strongest cities in each country. I guess if it doesn't work in those cities, it won't work in the others). I decided on my data just to run the campaign for Mobile 3g and started improving my landers.

Regarding the landers I made sure that their loading time was the one indicated, and I even edited all the landers to make them more attractive, and make all the comments as convincing as possible.

The ads were also rotating, but always had 2 or 3 as the most successful.

My ROI was maintained and the green color became my favorite color.

Scaling Up:

I tried to scale the campaign on other traffic sources like MGID and RichPush.

In the case of MGID, my landers did not meet their requirements. (I have seen the same landers and ads being promoted by other MGID affiliates. I guess being Newbie, the people of MGID take more precautions than with other affiliates with more experience)

In the case of Richpush, and that happened to me with all the offers that I tried to run through that network (MY, ID, PE, GT, VN, RO and of different verticals such as Weight Loss, Nutra, Health, Crypto, MaleEnhancement), a lot of budget was spent very fast, without having a decent CTR in my landers and all conversions were Canceled and Trash in Adcombo.

I decided to continue with PropellerAds with the campaign but the ROI had already dropped to 100%. Then I started to change my ads by inspiring me with Adplexity and Anstrex and improving my most successful ads but every day it was worse.

The CTR of my landers dropped to 5%.

I tried new landers, new ads, replicating campaigns, doing new campaigns. I also tested by segmenting the Zone IDs using the criterion of leaving only those that were profitable.

Nothing!

In recent days the campaign has ceased to be profitable. The Landers CTR does not exceed 3.88%.

I watched the suicide many times until I decided to write this post to discuss it with you. I don't want you to join my despair but we can help each other get ahead.

Some Conclussions:

I think it makes no sense to think that a campaign can simply die from one moment to another, even in the case of push traffic. If so, there would be no opportunity to test a new campaign and offers. If so, to achieve a successful campaign, one should always be the first affiliate to try that offer, in that geo, with that traffic network. In my opinion it makes no sense.

I also thought that PropellerAds traffic for that Geo might be exhausted. But I know that the main business of Traffic sources is to constantly obtain new subscriber lists with the aim of keeping their customers spending money but also receiving a certain quality of traffic that converts.
The product is among the top offers of Adcombo, so you have to rule out any inconvenience on the supply side.

This is my first long-term campaign, and although similar things happened to me before, never this way.

I look forward to your opinions and suggestions. I am sure that this has happened to many and that as I have speculated on causes and solutions for a long time.

I await your comments friends !!

Thanks in Advanced

People can hijack what you're doing can't they?
Unless you're cloaking your landers.. people can jump straight in and pull you apart. I don't know for sure.. just bumping. Would be nice to know a better answer.
