Marketplace Audiences on Taboola

Hi guys,

Did anyone tried the "Marketplace Audiences" in Taboola? Is it worth using it if my target audience is people 55+ in the US?

Also, when I create a new campaign, how do I target only one website, like msn.com? I see only an option to block publishers.

Thanks

I'm curious about it as well

I haven't tried using the Marketplace Audiences on Taboola... I have done so with Outbrain, as well as by 'Interest', targeting the interests that performed best on the 'master' campaign on smaller duplicate campaigns. Neither ever worked great for me though.

Probably worth split-testing everything though- as it seems like there's an almost infinite number of ways to run things on Taboola.

And then yeah, perhaps TheDudeAbides will chime in, as he much more knowledgeable about Taboola than me, but I believe the only way to target specific sites is to send your rep a list of Publisher ID's and ask them to upload it to a campaign as a 'custom whitelist'.

With that said, I think they may have an internal 'MSN Whitelist' that they can apply for you too. I've never used the Taboola MSN Whitelist, only the Outbrain one, but I have tried a lot of custom whitelists on Taboola.

It seemed like you had to bid a lot higher and it was hard to get much volume, but I was running low cpc type content rather than high cpc stuff, so I think it may work better on those high-cpc lead-gen campaigns there are so many of on Taboola. And I *believe* those custom whitelists are a common tool of some of the big outfits really crushing it on Taboola, so unless Taboola has specifically made it harder to get volume from custom whitelists/super-targeted campaigns, I would presume that's still a very successful strategy for people.

Haven't given marketplace audiences a shot but I'll ask my rep for some more info on it.

For targeting one website/publisher you'd need to send your rep the sitename/id. For MSN sites however you can just create a campaign with - MSN in the name and approvals team should apply whitelist for you. MSN is a handful of sites though fyi. Haven't yet tried it with one specific site in campaign name.
