Just set up my first 3 campaigns. How do I check what the consumer actually sees? (14)

Just set up my first 3 campaigns. How do I check what the consumer actually sees?

I'm following Vortex's tutorial and I think I have some technical errors. I have 3 offers from Mobidea. I'm tracking with Binom. I checked everything and it all should be right but when I click on the offer link it redirects me to malware sites, on web and mobile. I tried using the Browserstack to see what the 3rd party will show and their screenshots show an error page. I also get err_invalid_redirect.

How does this work exactly? The offer links from Mobidea always redirect me to some spam site. Propellerads show that I have 4k impressions in South Africa and not a single click.

I'm fairly technically savvy, so it's either something simple I'm overlooking or I misconfigured something.

I think I have a lift off. I'm guessing I did set everything right.

The one in Egypt has 3 leads. The rest are -100% ROI. We'll see what happens over the weekend.

Hi,

As a newbie very interested in other newbie campaigns, must feel great to get the first leads.
Did you target many countries for the first campaigns?

I'm still in the 'reading phase', wanna get as much info as possible to get a good start.
I have years of SEA experience so campagin structure and split testing and all that stuff isn't really a problem,
I do have so homework on tracking.

I ran 9 campaign in total, with 3 being rejected. I probably shouldn't have done 9 because I burned through 70% of my initial ad deposit in 2 days. But at the same time I finally found 1 offer that converted. Which is all I needed just to see how it all comes together.

Today, I will probably finish Vortex's tutorial. And will try to follow Push Ads tutorial. Still waiting on 2 more affiliates to approve me so I can explore other offers. But I won't be running campaigns like I did blindly. A lot of those offers I don't like and they are super basic. I'm surprised anything converted at all, but I'm just glad that the funnel works.

---

Stats on what I ran so far.

What's most likely happening in this case, is that you are being redirected to different offers, because your specs do not match with the offer requirements.

For example, they might want users from a specific country that's different from yours. Or they are looking for a specific carrier connection that you're not using.

In order to see the real offer, you need to simulate the GEO, connection type etc... some things are easy to achieve (GEO with the help of a VPN service), but in some cases it's quite hard, as it's hard to simulate specific carrier for example.

Yeah I had a feeling that this is what it was.

@paolo_francis - I just came from your intro thread. Great to see you're progressing nicely!

Congratulations on those first conversions!

Were those direct-linked campaigns? If so, you've gotten more than enough experience with those. I would recommend to progress to the lessons on landing pages ASAP. Direct-linked campaigns are a great first experience due to how easy they are to set up, but they won't likely make you money. The camp with the 3 conversions is at -92% ROI - it would be really hard to optimize that to green.

By the way: Forum attachments are hit-and-miss, and even when they DO show up, they only show up as thumbnails. To display big images, upload them to imgur.com, copy the bbcode link, and paste that directly into a post.

Impressive progress in a short time - looking forward to more!

@vortex thanks! Your posts have been super helpful! I bought another domain for sweepstakes yesterday, today I'll try to configure S3 and have everything running. But tomorrow I'm off so I'll be going over landing pages and so on.

I do have a question, is there a spy tool with a free trial or something inexpensive to start off with? Adplexity and whatrunswhere have some hefty subscriptions.

Adplexity isnt cheap for sure, but there is a reason for it, it's the best out there

There are other options though, for example spypush for PUSH traffic, that's a pretty decent one and only costs like $45 or so per month. And since there are similar offers working well on POP traffic too, you can find some creatives suitable for POP traffic in spypush too.

Would you recommend getting the Adplexity Mobile? They have so many options and I just don't know yet which one I need.

I plan on doing sweepstakes, gambling, finance verticals for now. With testing pop traffic, push, landing pages, etc.

Adplexity PUSH is for push traffic, and Adplexity Mobile is for pop traffic.

If you only have the budget to get one, I would suggest getting Adplexity Push - landers for pop and push are similar, but with push you get the ads as well.

I just realized there's no promo code for Adplexity Push in this discount thread:

https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...or-STM-Members

I'll find out and post it here for you - please stay tuned and if I don't reply within say 3 days, please bump this thread.

Sounds good, thanks a lot!

View the offer through a VPN (geosurf, hidemyass etc) in the local geo and you can see the offer

Adplexity is a very solid tool, spypush is a good push tool as well for a cheap price I think they actually do $1 trial?

Promo code for Adplexity Push has been added to this thread:

https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...or-STM-Members

Also remember that we have a Lander Depository of free landers here:

https://stmforum.com/forum/forumdisp...age-Depository

These landers won't replace an Adplexity subscription for sure, but can be enough to get you started if you're really needing to save some money.
