What is an offer protocol and is it important?

Under it would be things like "Server Postback w/Transaction ID" or "HTTPS iFrame Pixel". What does any of this mean?

Server Postback: Usually this will be the postback link you can get from your tracker.

HTTPS iFrame Pixel: A little piece of code you put on the thank you or success page, so that when it is accessed, a conversion is recorded.
