So, been seeing something weird when spying, definitely not the norm, but seen it multiple times now.
Anyway, they look like normal diet ads, except the ad url is a well-known website like walmart.com or webmd.com and the little info window from fb shows stats for walmart or webmd. Upon hovering over the link, however, it's always just a normal affiliate-looking URL, like ketosupplementstknow.com or something made up like that. And then of course when the link is clicked, it doesn't go to walmart.com- it goes to that affiliate URL.
Any idea how they are doing this?

In several countries your lander domain must be the same as the visible link yes. But there are enough geo’s where you can adjust the visible link to almost anything you like. Which is a very weird feature FB is offering but oke.
Just tested that out and can confirm it's geo-related. Thanks!
