Just put together our first megapush campaign this week. We're currently testing Huawei Phone Sweeps in Asia and running it on Mobile. We've tested it 3 ways so far.
1 - Desktop Direct to Offer
2 - Mobile Direct to Offer
3 - Mobile with Lander
Campaign IDS:

We've tested the same push notification with all 3 campaigns

The results we got for the Desktop direct to offer were pretty abysmal. We had 2109 clicks, 1 conversions with a spend of $25.31.
We decided to pause that camp and run the other 2.
So far, here are our current stats on those two campaigns:
Mobile w/o Lander: $6.83 cost, $2.72 revenue, 282 visits, 2 conversions
Mobile w/ Lander: 328 visits, 47 clickthroughs, 1 conversion for $7.38 spend and $1.36 revenue.
Overall still early on but will keep updated. Going to start testing with more types of landers so we can get some statistical significant data.
I've never used push and gone direct to lander so this is really interesting results!
As you said, it's early, but more conversions with no lander vs. w/ lander may be lucky.
But, it is SOI, so conversions are usually faster/easier so maybe it's better that way?
