Is it just me or does sitescout suck? (11)

Is it just me or does sitescout suck?

Can't really figure it out.

-Interface is pretty horrible, you can't split test your ads as you have to use the same url for all your different adcopies.
-Doesn't tell you what the actual bid needs to be. Just spits out a "Bid range" which may or not get you volume, but doesn't go into detail as it doesn't say which placement needs which kinds of bids.
-The worst: Like a 3 DAY approval period. minimum. The approval period for ads is so long that I have actually forgotten that I sent in my ads, only to come back like a week later with all my budget blown with zero conversions.. which leads me to:
-Horrible quality. It's all remnant traffic that they haven't been able to sell off to other sources.

Anyone else seeing this or am I using it wrong?

well the first bit of advice I can give is to get your rep on skype....I have never waited 3days to get stuff approved....

and yes its remnant traffic....but it does convert....

I like the interface...I find it easy to use,.....

you just need to break camps up if your testing banner with a lp...or do a little php trickery to match lp to banner if need be....Like for dating or anything else for that matter.....you can pass the adid dynamically and swap images via php on the lp....simple $_GET statement

it is def. you, sitescout has one of the best interfaces out there across the board on all traffic sources. approval times are out of wack just because of the holidays, usually they approve during buisness hours within a few hours after you upload your ads. you cannot find and will not find a easier traffic source UI in the industry in my opinion.

I love the interface, and I've never had it take more than one business day to get ads approved, without ever even speaking to my rep.

I think my only complaint is that it logs you out too quickly.

I think it's you. The interface is clean and logical. The traffic converts. Apart from Mondays which can be a bit iffy, I usually get ads approved within hours, and always same day. The reps are awesome and reply to questions quickly. They give bid estimates, but can't tell you actual prices because you're competing with other bidding platforms, so that's not their fault it's just part of the game. Good range of inventory. And they're constantly pushing out updates and improving things.

You can disable auto logout under Options (although they still log you out when the push an update).

Will agree from a trading desk perspective they are the best in the business without the complicated overlay of data and other "self" optimizing nonsense the others claim to have.

They also integrated with a ton of SSPs to offer you more volume than you'll know what to do with if you can find things that work.

i second that...their interface is pretty awesome and easy to use...not overloaded with useless crap..and their conversion tracking makes split testing really easy..what i like most about them is the fact that they are constantly improving their platform..by adding additional targeting feautures, geo ads, etc....

The interface is great! As polar said you need to get your rep on skype. He can make your life easier!

Haven't used them yet, seen a lot of complaints that it's difficult to get profitability and their platform isn't "ready" as yet since they update a lot. I took a look at the inventory sites and wasn't impressed, a lot of asian sites there. I'd like to see some more successful follow along campaigns first.
