For example, I see an offer that only accepts traffic Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. Why is that? And what would happen if ran your campaign outside of those specified times?
Usually an offer that says it accepts traffic 9am-5pm is one that involves a call centre in the sales process, so the leads become of less value outside of those hours as the customer cools down (ie if they're called the next day).
- If you were to run outside of those hours you'd probably find your ROI declines heavily from less confirmed leads, or the advertiser will be paying out leads they can't afford as their 'quality' (their profit against your payout) is not great.
Which niche is the offer you're researching in?
Hey Marstot, this restriction is usually the case for lead generation or financial offers. The advertisers utilize a call center to convert leads, however the follow-up service is usually down all weekend. The best time to follow up is Monday-Friday, during office hours.
Residual leads may be paid by advertisers, but the “excitement” over the offer may be dead by the time Monday hits and the advertisers don’t want to leads to pile up on Monday.
When it comes to sweepstake lead generation though, the callcenters usually operate during the weekend.

Thanks for the reply, it was a CPL auto insurance offer.
Another reason that used to be very popular with mobile carrier billing, was the usage of less compliant or flat out forbidden flows in the offers. These were activated at night, when it was less likely to get a manual review from the carrier ... I think this is still happening to some extent
