which is better tracker right now

Voluum or Binom there are so many people teeling about these two which is better at the beginning ?

Honestly either are fine starting out as they're both best in class for hosted and self-hosted respectively. They're also pretty similar UI and feature-wise, which makes it easy to switch between them.

Both have a $69 plan, although I see Voluum limits you to 20 campaigns which isn't much.

If I was starting again I'd probably go with Binom, but I've been using Voluum for years now and haven't see any compelling reason to make me want to switch to other trackers, and I've tried most of them at this point.

I agree with thedudeabides, Voluum is the leader in the cloud/hosted space and binom leads the self hosted part of the tracking biz.

Self hosted CAN equal to additional problems since you need to handle the hosting yourself. I'm not saying it will cause problems but the possibility is there. Especially when running large volumes of traffic.

But then again, large volumes of traffic will translate into a hefty bill with a cloud hosted tracker that bills per event, such as Voluum.

If I was starting now, I would base my decision on the type of traffic I'd run. With POPs or any other high volume format, I'd go with a self hosted tracker. For the other types, I'd go with cloud hosted.

Agree with all of the above, but would also mention BeMob and RedTrack if starting out and still shopping, as they both offer free/trials and are both awesome as well.

I second Matuloo's comment as I think cloud is better if cost isn't a concern and if you aren't tech savvy. Also keep in mind whether the tracker you use can easily export into others, for example most trackers have a solution to easily port your camps over from Voluum (since everyone wanted to take a slice of their business) so its much easier to switch in that way. I'm finding out the hard way that my current self hosted solution (funnelflux) can't port over well because of the way it is structured (it uses a different infrastructure to camps which has its pros/cons).

Really enjoyed Binom, simply because the UI is so clean and easy to use (we don't really use any advanced features) and the support is lightning fast.

Because we've had redirect troubles with FB and some server issues etc along the way its been nice to get replies way faster then other trackers and that in turn keeps the $ coming in
