Following $1 guide - zero conversions (17)

Hello everyone, I'm currently following the $1 guide and ran the smartlink on Mobipium for push notifications (186). I received 35,693 clicks but zero conversions. I'm not sure whether I've done this incorrectly or if this a normal result when trying this for the first time. Would be great if someone can advise!

What countries did you run? What did your traffic report look like?

Hi John, I ran the list of Geos included in the guide, as Mobipium would no longer provide the list. I understand they are ever changing, but thought alot of areas were covered by the list so would give it a go. Highest traffic was from Turkey and Pakistan and in total received 38,000 impressions with zero conversions. So am slightly confused if i may have done something wrong. Have you started following the guide yet?

Yeah, I ran it today and almost doubled what I put in. I am really surprised you didn't get any. I saw the same thing with Turkey, but Pakistan was on my remove list.

Did you make sure tracking was set up correctly?
Did you verify your mobipium link worked?
Did you check mobipium to see if there was any revenue?

I know these are basic questions, I am just trying to help troubleshoot.

no wonder u didnt get any conversions the 1$ guide is for the basic knowlege of the affiliate marketing works with networks dont be upset about that u just follow the 40 day tutorial u will make conversions and profits very soon

How do I verify that the mobipium link is working?

I received stats on both my mobipium and popads dashboards so I assumed that the tracking has been set up correctly. Is this right?

Thanks Abhiram, I was planning on starting the 40 day guide next but just wanted to make sure that I had done it correctly so I dont get the same problem with the 40 day guide as well.

no problem chigs even i am in the middle of the course and learning new things but make sure to invest in some tools which will help you to make your conversions very fast asap like adplexity and Voluum and some others so that u can learn things very easily and at no time you will see the results of your efforts

I'm not working with mobipium and their push offer but not getting a single conversions from that many clicks is not normal.

There are several options here

- is the offer still acttive?
- did you use correct link, do you see the clicks recorded in mobipium?
- ask your AM if they still support the TK and PK geos, it's possible that they no longer have buyers for such push subscribers, hence not giving credit for these either

How can I run a report on popads to identify the countries conversions were made?

I have also contacted my AM to ask about the regions TK and PK - will keep people on the thread updated.

The only way to check any details on the conversions is by utilizing some kind of tracking, have you ran this traffic through some tracker at all? Each visit has to be labeled by a clickID and based on that, you can see exactly what click converted.

Not gonna write more details about this now, need to hear from you about the setup you used first, so I don't write about things you already understand

Would I need to use another tool for tracking, e.g something like Voluum or funnelflux?

In my current setup am only using Popads and mobipium.

You can setup mobipium to postback directly to popads, by using popads [IMPRESSIONID] token, but I personally think it's always better to use a tracker and keep conversion data private. And it's not just about keeping data private, trackers offer way more, such as LP rotation, rules based traffic routing, bot detection, AI optimization rules...

So yes, I'd recommend to use some tracker, there is a lot of good ones on the market today... Voluum, funnelflux, adsbridge, redtrack, binom etc.

Trackers are great, but be careful if you're wanting to use a cloud-based tracker like Voluum for this type of offer.

In the guide I go over how to set up conversion postback to post conversions to PopAds. This is so we can avoid using a tracker.

This is because Voluum charges by event. The more traffic you run, the more expensive it gets (as soon as you go over the number of events included in the plan you're subscribed to). This type of offer requires running MASSIVE traffic in order to make small money. Meaning, tracker costs can easily eclipse your profits.

It's not really an ideal way to make profits, but rather is a good way for beginners to get their first taste of 1)how to set up a campaign to buy paid traffic, and 2)make their first conversions.

Hope that's clear! And yes, I would recommend moving onto the 40-day tutorial when you're ready. That $1 guide is only a primer.

Thank you for the above Amy, the $1 guide has been great to understand how to setup a first campaign!

Just went over the steps in the guide on how to set up the conversion postback -and makes more sense now. I don't think I did this entirely correctly.

Looking forward to moving onto the 40 day tutorial next! which am hoping to start today.
