Q4 starts tomorrow......if you're spending money for the holidays on native traffic and you haven't given been on the NEW Revcontent in the past few months, you're doing your biz a massive disservice.
We know some have had bad experiences or bad traffic in the past - but we're getting feedback DAILY like this....
"We're seeing terrific CPMs and revenue from Revcontent." Jean-Sebastian Paul, CEO and Founder, PSquared Publishing
"Distribution has been a big improvement. In the past or or two widgets would monopolize all clicks. Now, there is an even distribution across all widgets, which results in fair spend." - Suvid Tubtimcharoon, Digital Marketing Analytics Manager at IDG
We've spent the last few months working on a incredibly refreshed platform that is highly serviceable and scalable for buyers.
We're proud of the progress so far. Come check it out.
We recommend creating a NEW account and starting with a clean slate: https://www.revcontent.com/registration
What are the approval times now? When I used your platform in the past, the long waiting times to get new ads/campaigns approved were the thing I "hated" the most... were you able to improve this too?
When I started with you guys (Revcontent) a year ago I had a couple problems with overspend, crazy bot widgets spending too fast, etc. However, in the last three months I've had a wonderful experience - no problems whatsoever - and I definitely consider it to be the most user-friendly/responsive of native platforms right now.
Would like to cast a vote for you guys to bring back Retargeting though
And also - re: the end of your post - is there an advantage to starting a brand new account in any algorithmic/traffic sense? Or are you just suggesting starting a new account as in a 'fresh start' for people who've been away for awhile?
It's been really good lately. I have found approval times to be 24 hours or less. Sometimes much less.
Yeah what's the deal with starting a new account....any advantage there?
That's awesome, we're glad it's improved so much.
For Retargeting, we've definitely heard that from others as well - it's on our product roadmap for sure to add back in.
As for advantages to starting a brand new account, if you have an active account, you're good to use it. All features/updates/algorithm changes are factored in.
If you've been inactive for several months, we suggest starting a new account to not be bogged down by old features.
the platform has never been better. Let us know how it goes.
How's your international reach now? Specifically France and Germany.
what level does a new account start at? level 10 I'm guessing?
Hey @Revcontent_Support - have another thing for the wish list
It would be great to be able to sort campaign data by geo.
I've been really digging your Topic campaigns lately ever since you did the big widget overhaul, and I'm running a few international camps, but my tracker will report like a bazillion clicks from random tier-3 countries, but I can't tell if that's actual clicks or just bot clicks/etc that are showing up.
If we could sort campaign data by spend and see how much each spend each geo has it would definitely help for optimizing/scaling/spending more
Again, loving all the changes you've been implementing!
After two years or more of having ran on RevContent, I tried again this week. And I must say the push traffic from Spain left me wishing a lot.. and the overspend at 200% of the daily budget and even 20 hours after having stopped the campaign is something I thought would be fixed in this new decade.
They have the restriction of other higher quality networks, but dont have the traffic quality that comes with it, it seems.
Yeah traffic quality of them is quite impressive - with great number of conversions but didn't delve into the push traffic sources this time with the horrible experience I had when I turned the Push source too. As @cosmeivan has pointed about the huge overspend which has happened to me as well 2-3 years back I guess with the push traffic too, they should sort this out.
A thing I hate about revcontent is no way of creating a whitelist campaign with known widgets that are working. Lowering the bid amount to the lowest they allow doesn't seem to fix the issue. Their reply to why whitelist campaign is no longer there is quite interesting - "Some of these new updates are bid by widget as well as campaign and account level blacklists. This allows you to better control your campaigns while ensuring you are not missing out on new and exciting traffic sources when they enter the network. Due to these updates, Revcontent will no longer support Whitelisted campaigns." Also was checking theoptimizer if they have something that would pause a widget as they pop-up - but that thing seems to be not there.
But I consider their traffic quality has improved + their approval timing is great too -- make the ads in the night time and the next morning voila! it is approved.
