Which bank should I open a checking account with to get debit cards for Facebook ads?
I bank with Chase.
Chase doesn't require social security numbers for employee cards but I think the address for employee cards is tied to the card owners address.
We bank with BOA and are happy with the service. The travel rewards credit card they offer is alright, but Amex is significantly better for points.
Are you American?
Set up both. Always good to have redundancy in your infrastructure. Learned this the hard way when I got locked out of banking while living/traveling overseas and had to do a 14 hour flight to visit a branch in person.
Here is my take on B of A. First of all let me start by saying I am a Platinum Rewards with Honors account holder which means you keep a minimum 100K balance in your account for 6 months.
I only have debit cards. I have used them for ad spend many times.
B of A goes turbo on fraud to a level I have never seen. Some may think it's annoying, but hey at least people aren't stealing my shit. For example, most cards and banks its advisable to set a travel notice before leaving the country. I get it.
With BOA if I go out of my area more than 20-40 miles I get lots of declines immediately followed by the text asking if it was actually me who tried to do those transactions. As soon as I type YES the card works again. This can sometimes be irritating, but they are very sensitive to patterns they think are fraud.
I actually got my Propeller ads banned due to B of A. Propeller's processor is in Cyprus and whenever I topped up the account B of A would shit the bed. Then, Propeller asked me to send a copy of all my cards because they suspected fraud on their end and it was a big cluster fuck. All because of B of A and their ultra sensitive fraud systems.
I like them as a bank though.
